XP DEUS UPDATE

Anyone heard anything? Do we have a solid date yet wow? Not many probably love the xp as much as i. Found a 1859 five dollars gold coin with it. With that being said I am really disappointed with a new season starting and still no update yet. All these newer machines coming out and no updates, no solid date, nothing. Xp needs to get on the horse and step up. Makro racer 2 is starting to look really really really good.

You LOVE the Deus...but you want to LOVE it even more?

Pretend there's no update and be surprised. What other detector even gives you updates..and FREE?

Ya hell I would've been been a lot happier if they didn't say anything. It's gotta be close, been like 2 yrs

Once they get it right, then release it.. I would not want to install it unless I was absolutely certain that it was free of flaws.. I can be patient

As far as I know u can still change to the older versions. So could go back to 3.2 if don't like 4

Wow, flashback to the Minelab CTX complainers. (many of which never owned one)

Don't buy a detector for what it MIGHT do in the future; buy it solely for what it can do Now. You'll be happier and much less frustrated.

Don't own one but waiting to see if the V4 will work in wet sand. Heard V3.2 doesn't handle it well. Weight is factor. Excal or Sovereign looking good wearing on belt. Dig everything above iron anyway. But would like something that had a meter and light weight. I like my ET so still be main machine. Hope they release soon but better to be right.

End of summer last I heard. Maybe longer.

I think that is the shortest post I've ever seen u make

The new software may be released at the same time the impact is released I was told two years ago by a tester he was using his coils and had multy freq at the same time...He dug a button in front of me at 17". Now that has all changed what I would like to see is being able to use the freq that come with the machine and use more than one at a time not having to buy a new coil... Maybe they are getting ready to come out with a new machine?

But yeah the racer when I hunt and test it against the deus both machines see the same targets...I hunt and like to hunt in iron so both machines are great and the racer is deeper with all coils, the 5" is really deep, fast and can find any target the deus finds with the 9" coil. I'm glad I have both machines because with all the hard work it is for me to find areas that date back to about 170 years these targets have been in the ground a long time and you have to dig most every target when you get a zip and then iron...So until the deus gets the new software and it does work and makes it a better machine...I'm happy with what I use and my finds!

Lawrence don't get me wrong I like the xp and am happy with it. Just think it's been to long since they said we would get new toys to play with. Im actually starting to get worried it might never happen or we will need to buy more stuff like a newer model controller. Which wouldn't bother me either. I'm just impatient I guess.

Folks need to remember,,, even if 4.0 is ready to release--- the new coils need to be ready too,,,meaning coils ready to sell that fully aupport version 4.0.

So it could be a combination of factors that have to be solved/ completed.

I'm a little confused.

What do you mean by he was using his coils (more than 1) and using multi freq (coils were multi freq or the control was allowing multi freq at the same time)?

What has changed?

Why do you state a possible new machine ( gut feeling or info from a source)? It sounds like you may have contacts in the know.

I hope whatever the update is it gives me a reason to keep my Deus. I've never been so unimpressed with a detector purchase like I have been with this machine.

The older coils are going to be of value to people that hunt with them. But when it comes to resale they are yesterday's newspaper. What a shame. I may revisit the Deus some day. A nice detector. Heck I had three of them. But right now I am glad that I unloaded my last one when I did. In my opinion it would of been better if XP would have just come out with a new detector at this point. When the software makes hardware obsolete it's time to cut ties.

im guessing they will have to come up with a new coil that carries most of the brains inside of it, the xp controller seems pretty limited to how much can tweak it. Seems pretty basic to me.

I'm not a fanboy, but if there is metal under the coil of my Deus, it detects it. Had really good success with mine this year. I'm just now getting used to the 3.2 program.

If you do not like it, stick with your old one and sell what you do not like.

Personally, I love my Deus... but, they are not for everyone
