Xp Deus indication question

Does anyone know,,,what the little symbol that sits in the middle of the horseshoe is used for or means.

Had a gent ask me this question,,,I don't know and can't find any info to shed light on this.

Hi TSS,,,The left side indicates a ferrous target. The right side indicates a non ferrous/good target. The less shading there is means it's deeper.....Perhaps the middle means pinpoint mode..........JJ

Yes Nigel the main XP importer here in the UK tells me that`s exactly what it is.
Bit dodgy to use because it will indicate an overload if you hit on a hoard ,so user discretion is advised when interpreting it .
