I guess you are just going to have to wait then aren't you? I don't work for Whites, I don't test their machines, but I know what works for me and their detectors work. If I want a waterproof machine its not going to be a single frequency machine so I would not have even considered trying this new detector. You know what they say? Good things come to those who wait

And now you are wrong again, I have never sugar coated anything with them I have told them straight and you only need to read my posts to find that, And I did purchase one of them and it went out the door just as fast,

You can't going around accusing people of things they have not done, And another thing how do Whites contact people if those people have not Registered their machine with Whites, unless they try mind control or A Chrystal ball, their only choice is to wait for people to contact them,

Are you serious ? They can contact them as I described in my OP ,as well as through their registration , as well as through their dealers. Are you saying that if they have no way of contacting 100 per-cent of the buyers they have no option but to wait for people to contact them ? That is absurd. You are sugar coating the issue of contacting the people according to your post.

Do you realize that not everyone reads these forums or for that matter uses the internet, you ask for the impossible. Just how would Whites get in touch with these people as AU has stated not everyone sends in their registrations? Most people who buy a metal detector probably buy from small mom and pop operations who sell other brands as well. Give it a break.

Some folks might not have sent in their registrations.

White's could infact even for the folks who did send in their registrations by mail,,,they could instruct folks to go ahead and register using their site.

I think the majority of owners could in fact be contacted if it were tried.

And this is exactly what should have happened.

I do realize some manufacturers may use the data supplied for advertising and marketing,,,,but the primary reason for registering should be to be able to contact a customer if the need arises.

There are no perfect systems here I think,,,but manufacturers should make the best use of what they do have currently,,and improve on as needed,,or if technology allows.

its not about waiting - Its about being pro-active - The MXS is still being sold in Australasia now you might enjoy sending your gear into Whites on a monthly basis but at least show some consideration for foreign buyers - WE WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT does not cut it when White's management have been leading us around by the nose by saying that there will be a public announcement days ago - What an absolute fiasco -

Out of all the Whites detectors I have owned only once did I have to send in a detector for a faulty coil, the detector was out of warranty and they fixed it for free. I read this morning Whites has taken the MXS out of production so they can work out the issues... like it or not one will have to wait. We aren't talking about a huge corporations here these detector manufacturers are small operations a lot of you don't seem to realize this, This is not a fiasco for anyone but those who have no patience.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

This ain't beauty coming from me.

Glad to see production come to a halt,,,better late than never.

In the past 6 years I have spent over $20,000 on Whites machines and I have NEVER sent in ONE registration Card, They do not have my email address, they do not have my Phone Number, I don't do face book and I don't do Twitter, And my contact details are for my personal use, I do not give them out because Some companies make money out of selling peoples personal Data and So I refuse to give such things to companies, So even a dedicated Whites Fan Like my self does not hand over such info,

In the Early days of this there was not a lot that they Could Do because No One knew how Big the Problem was, And a lot of the issues stem from some people claiming All Is Well until they saw What others were seeing and by that time word had got around that everyone knew about it anyway.

Like I said, They have not been caught ripping anyone off, And treating victims/customers like criminals Is more related to bad people skill and lack of forethought for others Than ripping people off, You can think it as much as you like, But when you put it in print then you are setting your self up for a whole load of legal challenges, Don't think for a second that you are the only person here who is unimpressed about the whole situation because you are Not, None of us are impressed, And I as a dedicated Whites user I see the whole thing in a very low light, But if this is how they want to be seen by the Detecting Community then So be It, I have tried to get Whites to change their Attitude Ever since the first Video came out over 5 months ago, And nothing has changed, I will buy some more Whites machines for later use, But for the first time in 7 years I am now looking at other companies for inspiration,

Either way, You need to stop this junk before Whites say enough is enough and come after you because you have given them enough to build the gallows already, AGAIN Whites has not ripped anyone off, and what they have done has been less than encouraging but to say that Whites has been caught Ripping off Customers is not true because that would imply that their have broken the Law which they have Not and they have said they Will Make good with each and every customer.

Whites have said they would make a post here "Which they have Not" and they have sold a machine that works as far as they are concerned and they have said they will correct any issues where people are Not satisfied Or give the customer a Refund. So apart from having lesser expectations in metal detectors than most and selling them they have not Broken any Laws and if they want to waste hundreds of thousands of dollars in shipping costs and paying over time to people who should of done their job right in the first place that is up to them. That does not concern me or anyone else here,

I never said they broke any law John. If ripping people off like I stated and described were against the law a lot of people would be in trouble. We'll see if they contact the people that bought the MX Sport and try to get them back out hunting without worrying about or not knowing about the problems with the machine. If they are victims and White's is hiding the truth like you said, I'll wait till you prove that before taking your word for it. You may be right though.

You can also answer those Questions your self, Just ask your self, You Don't have to take my word for it, just answer the questions and you will get your Answers.

1) Have people got Answers to their question from Whites,

2) Have Whites come Clean about the Whole Thing,

They are simple yes or No Answers, And all I know is what was told to me by dealers Friday a week ago,

Said they would be here a couple times a week to answer questions. Maybe they're waiting for a couple questions to their liking. Maybe their waiting for their allies to sweep this under the rug so they won't be asked to seek out and compensate their " victims "
