That's interesting, Mike. Do you remember what the recall was for? Was it instability of some sort that caused them to lower the gain?

Still gonna try one when I can find a good deal on one with some coils. Just ain’t paying the crazy prices most want for one!

Another thing to bear in mind would be coil's and coil cables - cracked and damaged - exceedingly rarer to find old coils that don't have cracked cables.

In addendum its tough for a little guy to make it in this world of large companies...indeed Troy had some good ideas...
