Which Tesoro detector would you choose

If you could own Four Tesoro metal detectors, which Four, would you choose?
List from the most desirable to the least desirable....If you would like to give the reasons... fill your boots.

The Outlaw would be my #1 choice, it has the legendary ED-120 disc. circuit of the original Bandido....just a deeper machine if adjusted right.

What about the Cortez? Never hear much about it. I started to buy a used one a while back

The Cortes has a ground balanced all-metal mode but it does not carry over to the motion discrimination mode, therefore not good for more mineralized ground.

Mine are mainly the UK version of Tesoro that i currently use most of the time,although not my main everyday detectors.

Laser Trident11 Extreme (Vaquero but on steroids)amazing how light this machine is even with the 11x8 coil on,mainly use it of late due to wrist problems,but when we have stiff stubble the 5.75'' Concentric is the weapon of choice.

All the above are deadly with small coils on Roman/Saxon sites especially the Trident11 and B3,Compadre is a great shallow water/ford/mudlarking detector when used with a small 4'' coil.

1-Bandido 2 umax (hundreds of military buttons in hard hit Pantera sites 120 disc but had max boost for more ZING)

2-Pantera ( the one that got me hooked on Tesoro dug countless brass relics in iron..Everyone was laughing at little Tesoro's back then till they saw what was coming out of the iron sites)

3-Tejon( super sensitive loves to sniff out what the Bandido left in iron which ain't much)(Vaquero and Cibola about the same just not as amped up can miss on edge stuff that a Tejon can see in iron,,get high tone version if you try one)

4-Euro Sabre( real sleeper Deep and effective in bad soil with the lower freq full 180 disc and max boost)

Tesoro Compadre with 5.75 coil.

I want the Vaquero I saw in a video that can detect a Quarter at 12".

if you look at the guys video he put the vaquero and the tejon head to head in a test.the tejon can also hit the 12 inch quarter too

Yea, they must be the special turbo models. Most of them can't do that.

It's doable with super tuning and negative ground balance. Not necessarily a practical way to hunt. Now they are super deep on lead!

I'm done with Tesoro for now.
'Junk & Disorderly' is right on the money ( pardon pun ) about the UK version of the New Vaquero RSD - Laser Trident 2
It's very good and I did a very good test with one last year.
I have one regret and that us I didn't use the small coil as I had been offered one just as I was finishing up the tests!

( I used have a lot of Tesoro's. Sold them when I lived in 'The Burgh' ( Pittsburgh to you and I)
Had great success with an original Silver Sabre on plowed soils and muddy river foreshores. Some say it was legendary on rivers. I'd agree.

Vaquero - coins
Lobo ST - gold
Tejon - relics
Toltec II - secret

Ok....I see some who have picked the Vaquero first over the Bandido 2 uMax as their favorite....what's the reason?
Is the Vaquero that mush better.....your thoughts?

The Vaquaro and Tejon will go a couple inches deeper.

You should get both.
