Update to Open Forum limitations

It has been brought to my attention that this 'Open Forum' is not truly open. I have updated the forum description to remedy this discrepancy.

If it's a metal detector forum for real, then all non detector related posts should be deleted.

I really don't understand this resentment he has. I understand that he is sticking to his guns, but sometimes when you're wrong, you're wrong. You admit, make amends and move on. This constant beratement of the forum only makes his cause look more in-defensible.

Well when you find his posts that are under 16 different user names since I started counting and he had a few others before that, you will understand why people have had enough,,, I have no doubt he has some good Qualities But Alas he failed to Share any of those Qualities with us.

He started his own website and that failed miserably and has been kicked off every other detector forum I have heard of and mostly for the same reasons...he makes people mad, does everything he can do get under their skin and purposely repeats doing it too.
He does it under the guise of improving the forums, or starting a dialog to discuss issues pertaining to our hobby or some other noble purpose but is either so deluded he thinks this is true, or is so stupid he doesn't know the difference...if either of these were true we could just feel sorry for him.
The more probable truth is he is just exactly what everyone says he is, a troll of the highest order.
Some might think he does not understand he is not wanted here after being kicked off stuff many times but this is not the case...he just does not care.
He loves the fact he can return so easily anytime he wants and it is obvious he wants us to know who he is because his ego can't let him make up names that aren't obvious to that end.
On most forums they can block your IP so once he is gone he is gone forever, evidently here they cannot so he targets this one and keeps coming back.

He has driven many from forums because if his antics, he makes every site worse for his presence and this will never end.
He knows all this and relishes in it...after all this is what trolls do and he is one of the better ones.

Much ado about nothing........a simple solution is don't respond to his posts. Don't feed the troll. But like a moth drawn to a flame, some can't resist and feed him anyway....LOL

diggwr27, banning an IP has been ineffective as banned users can utilize virtual IP addresses. plus banning IP addresses often impacts those who have done no wrong. There are numerous solutions, but most are inconvenient to forum users. I will come up with some sort of a solution, I hope.

I've been on this internet thingy since Dial-up connections and modems you could hear talking to each other.
Saw the advent of pictures on websites,... pretty amazing stuff.

First guy I chatted with was Oatmeal Jack an MD who fished for carp from his boat on the St-Lawrence river.
Exchanging ideas, sending files, talking about the carp we caught.

But someone like Gary Kemper well I guess shrinks write books about these people.
A virtual pain in the behind you can just as easily switch off like snuffing a match between your fingers.
Biggest problem I think these people have is that they don't comprehend their annoyance is virtual, fantacy, made up of 0 and 1, ie non existant.

Internet use to be a fountain of knowledge in it's advent,... these days it's World Wide Waffle.

Sounds like this actually might be his wife defending him, defending his noble deeds and his laughable blog failure.

Either way this person is just as stupid, just as annoying, just as unwanted as the original.
