Well,

Wound up using Racer 2 exclusively with smaller coil.

Probably my funnest detector to use,,,especially in supposed hunted out site.
Nokta relic a close second btw.
I am big Deus fan- just remember.
Not pictured a bottom of zippo lighter.

For folks wanting more info on Racer 2.
Twist caps,,,if you are after silver and copper,,you will likely dig few screw caps,,they read 70/71.

Racer 2 will peck iron a little more so in 2 tone (higher gain) vs 3 tone max gain (99).

The pocket knife was actually discovered using 2 tone,,,give a nice repeatable signal 50,, so clean signal I dug.
Did cut it in half though I think when digging.

Racer 2,,, just a joy of a detector.
Great pick for even beginners IMO.
Ergonomics pretty darn good too.

What kind of good looking button is that on the right of the pic. And thanks for the pics of your finds. I wish that everyone would post their pics if they had a good hunt because, frankly, I like to see them and I am learning to identify relics by detectorists who post their findings and the ensuing converstion about the finds. Well done and Merry Christmas. kevin

Don't know much about the button.
Found one just like it about a year ago in the same site.

I'm like you,,,I learn a lot by looking at others finds,,along with comments made by folks.
I am really relic ignorant.
Improving but still ignorant. Lol

Merry Christams to you too Kevin.

Yep, like the button and it's got good detail, i enjoy finding them then researching their history online.
We have a database as such in the UK of button's, there's probably something similar your side of the pond?
