What is the latest on the V4 issues?

I had a hunt this past weekend so I did not do the update before I left because I wanted to use my current programs. I am now glad I did not. I have heard horror stories of coils and headphones "Bricking" and needing to be returned to France for reprogramming. Seems to also be many smaller issues.
I am now hearing all is good and the latest update will work fine and resolve all current issues. The question is where do I get the latest download? There are a dozen of them posted on forums but which is the latest? Is XP Americas download the latest one?
I have 2 remotes, 3 coils and both the WS5 and WS4 headphones. I am hearing people say to turn off the first set of headphones before you update the second set. I am also being told to just update 1 remote, the 3 coils and one pair of headphones and then separately update the other remote and other pair of headphones.
I am really reluctant to do this update until I am sure that it will be successful on all my pieces. Any advice from Deus users is greatly appreciated.

V4 is running smooth as silk for me

It's been running fine for me for a couple of days.
Wiped everything clean and did the update again Monday night with no issues and no blips.
Get the download at the XP site to be safe.

I was honored to do an evaluation of the new HF coil and Vs 4. The software had zero glitches for me but there were some changes and add-ons that I suggested. Personally, I like this new
version much better than 3.2. Richard / Backwoods Detectors

How long should it take to download update

The update is very fast,,,the whole process should take less than five minutes.

thanks, did download and tried it at local pounded park. does anyone else think tones sound a little muffled and chopped? it does seem to hit a little deeper on my test garden targets 5c at 12" and qtr. at 11.5", both have diggable signal and upper 90's id with 11 coil
