Guess I should have sent you an ALERT Harold. I wondered about that coil myself, but like the Golden micros, the Shadow X2's always seem to bring a painful premium with them.

I just wonder how much of a difference it is between the Tesoro 8x9 inch 5 pin coil and Troys Super 9 coil as far as performance goes. The size is very similar.

To Be Honest the 8" Concentic Brown Donut coil is deeper than the 8"x9" Coil at least on the Golden I have.

The Tesoro 8" brown concentric is a great all around coil for moderate small ferrous trash infestation with good depth and separating qualities. It is much better than 'the 8X9" coil when working in iron infestation but when the going gets tough...a smaller concentric coil like the out of production thick body 7" or current production thin style 5.75 is better. The 5.75 concentric is really 6" in diameter and is the perfect coil for unmasking in the iron nails, I use it on my ED-120 machines like the Pantera and old model Bandido and Toltec ll, it is about as deep as the 8" concentric and really gets in between the trash better.

Harold,

I was going to suggest you PM SandMan and ask if he might have one of those around the house somewhere, kinda keep things on the hush so everybody on the forum doesn't go clamoring for one, like when Keith says that he still loves the awesome abilities of SUCH and SUCH and suddenly the prices of SUCH and SUCH take a big jump. But I guess this works too. grinning smiley LOL

Thanks Sod, But already found one and Sold it as didn't impress Me much. Matter of fact that one is Probably one I had. On My Golden it was not as Hot as the 8" Brown donut. Think they are a lot of hype as hard to find so makes People want them more.
Maybe it's the fix GB on the Golden? Could of had it tuned to the unit but My Golden works so go with the 8" Brown donut don't want to mess with it as Hottest Golden on the Planet!

To be fair particular coils have to be tuned to the unit its used on for optimum performance...on many Tesoro units....
