Treasure Baron Goldtrax. Not too many made and I doubt there's another one like this one – I'm not sure if it was ever assembled – I bought it recently from the original owner who got it in 1985. Not sure I'm even going to use it – I have a habit of damaging things are use – and this is absolutely perfect – like new – maybe I'll just keep it that way And admire it.

Sad - can't post pix - working on it - maybe later, meanwhile links

Fine looking unit there Rick. If it were me...and I didn't need to use it...I'd keep it in it's unused state. She's a virgin unit...something unique.

Looks awesome! Just curious how it has a 1994 copyright stamp and was obtained in 1985? It really looks cool.

Thanks PT - you're right - sad typo or carelessness on my part - 1995.

The Treasure Baron was an early breakout from all-analogue design, with signal processing in software instead of hardware.

Thanks for the correction.

I had one with the modules and coils and the GoldTrax was my favorite in all metal with the iron grunt. Ahead of it's time.

Another Detector design from the Great George Payne.
It's a shame Treasure Baron aka Discovery Electronics could not stay in Business as they had CZ type Depth.
