OK..... wheres my soap box. I had ordered one of those 1/3 to 1/4 inch headphone adapter for when my machine came in. But..... i was reading the manual and checked on the ML site there was a 1/3 adapter included. So i told him i no longer needed that as an accessory. He told me it does NOT come with that adapter........ it comes with a 1/3 adapter that ISNT waterproof on either end. Soooooo now no yellow headphones, no adapter to modify so i can use the new machine IN the water safely, nor any other accessory......... and nothing from ML as to WHEN these items will be available. Nor....the prices. So we get the prices AFTER we buy? Im not getting the pleasant experience i expect with something im pay for here.

It’s been 15 minutes. What you waiting on?
Re: Here's the new Minelab Equinox

Unit packing is good.
The wireless headphone case has a little zippered storage for charge cable and the cable for use to hardwire wireless headphones to detector in case your wireless battery dies.
All contents seem to be in package as outlined in instruction manual.
Remember folks you only get one coil bolt.

What detectors do you currently have for comparison Buster? I’d love to see that 3-D nail test using the 2x4s pitting the Equinox against the Deus and/or F75.

You may be the first to write a real comparo test.

Remember, no sleeping for you tonight...

And maybe a new thread; scrolling through 800+ posts is getting old.

Deus all LF/HF coils except 11X13" LF
Rutus alter71
Nokta Impact pro package coils
Tha should do nicely for some of my work/comparisons.

Yeah late night tonite like 2am CST.

Excellent! Make a big pot of coffee. You’ve got a lot of work to do before the sun rises.

Exactly. I want to SEE that test too. If it can’t pass it with stock coil it’s a waste of $$ and a no go for me.

That one video liable to drive Equinox sales off the charts even more.

Is this part of the obsoleting we heard about?? Just pondering.

What I'm thinking is since it can hit a stretched out gold chain while ground balanced on a salt water beach then.....what else can it hit......micro jewellery ?, is this the detector we've been waiting for?
exciting times!

Alright,
I spent about 40 minutes with the detector(800 model) out sweeping and checking a few things.

Noise cancel process, best I've seen as far as selecting and cycling vs fbs/fbs 2 detectors.

Ergo rating (nose heaviness compare to Deus wearing 11" LF coil) Deus wins by a smidge. Very close.

Navigating settings a breeze. I even ventured into advanced settings.

I didn't charge my detector up all the way, but had full bars in power level meter.
Wireless headphones charged fully in about 2 hours.

Sound of detector.
Imo CTX users or previous CTX users will meld with faster vs Etrac or Deus.

Love the magnetic charge connections- some ingenuity there.

Detector doesn't seem flimsy.

Backlights works great, didn't run at highest setting, remember folks this is 800 model, 600 model backlights a little different.

Won't give opinions yet on what I have witnessed so far testing.
But can say this I saw something that made go in the house and bust out my mighty Deus with 11" coil.

May make another run tonite. Cold outside. Probably the only dummy out tonite in Tn with metal detector.

Forgot to say, folks with bad eyesight, display character size easy to see.

Interesting stuff, Sod.

Will be curious to know what you meant by "made you go in the house to get the Deus..."

I was concerned about the nose heaviness having the battery in the handle.

Perhaps they should have put the battery farther back under the arm rest for better balance.

As a water hunter....... this is what im looking for guys. Notice the size of that chain........ did the Xcal get it? This is what ive been saying.... there is a LOT of gold out there our current detectors dont even hit on. Some were thinking its small gold not worth my time......... that was small gold, but you know it had some weight to it. Even it it was a clasp or SS spring in the clasp..... the EQ picked it up IN the salt water...... the Xcal which is on par with the CTX in the water didnt.
