Wow this is gonna be painful for the wallet.

Wow now an all new waterproof pinponter with iron id! Very nice. Looks like Minelab is listening to what WE need/want in detectors and accessories. I think there gonna pull another rabbit outta the hat before long.

Interesting. I would be content if someone made one that did not false in red dirt. The Garretts, the Whites TRX, all of them I have used all false in the dirt. My orange Carrott was useless yesterday in it...and that was with detuning it, etc.

AquaChigger sometimes hunts with just his pinpointed underwater. I watched a video this morning of him finding 2 eagle breastplates and a pile of bullets and grapeshot with just the pinpointer underwater.

I'm a huge Minelab fan and I'm really excited about the Equinox, but less excited about these pinpointers. The real "game-changer" would be if Minelab took the example provided by Sunray and built-in a companion probe that was both waterproof and wireless. Taking off headphones and grabbing a handheld pinpointer from your belt is ridiculous. We should be able to press a button or flip a switch and use an in-line probe like the Sunray X-1 for the Explorer series.

Anyone know what it will sell for? Be nice if a good pinpointer was about 100.00

A different, round design. I wonder if it's difficult to find the ON/OFF button after pulling it out of the holster...

What surprises me the most is the lack of proper (English) presentation videos from Minelab, or at least from people who can show how the product works.

It was probably a couple of AKA agents, pissed off at Minelabs new unit as they also have a multi freq unit coming out lol

Having two is weird. They all should be waterproof and average the price. Yes we all don't hunt in water but we all like to rinse them off, and we all get hit with rain and wet grass from the dew. Bad marketing idea.

We have been provided clues IMO over the last 18 months.

Like GPX 4500 brought back to life in USA.

Let's see if I can see inside Minelab's head.

They realize big time they were pricing themselves out of the market.
They are with their current releases, making products that can be bought by folks with smaller, medium and large household incomes.
They have been silently reading forums, watching other manufacturers models released, watching their processes.

Remember Dilek?

I think Minelab knows who she is.
Garrett too.

Expect to see more future detector models publicly announced, yet models not quite street ready.

The magic curtain acts are over IMO.

So Minelab studied the entire (non PI) detector landscape, and developed a plan to puts themselves on center stage and COMPETE.
I think their plan will be very successful too.

Minelab has made up their minds they don't want to be a one trick pony show anymore when it comes to products. (Especially in VLF Detector Land)

The best thing that may have ever happened to Minelab is the Go-Find detectors.
I'll let folks think here what this really means.

I also see this CLAIM involving the Equinox line.
Let's assume the claim is only half correct.
If so, detector industry affected big time.

Ok, I gotta say that you guys that keep asking for inline pinpointers that attach to the detector must have bodybuilder arms and be a lot younger than I am cause all the dirt Minelanbs that I swing are Heavy and don't need the extra weight!

I can't argue that! Her and her team are fantastic at customer service and may never be beat!

Oh haha. I was on instagram talking about a pinpointer with iron audio a day before this news came out I thought for certain it was someone making up some bull the coincidence was just to great from my point of view. Especially when I saw the box say with iron audio my exact phrase I used. I really thought someone photoshoped the pic. I was way off for certain.
