Here's a thought.

Based on that little video with what we saw,,,and there is another video giving hints like this one you put up Keith.
Could this detector pass the nail board test(IH in both positions) with that BIG coil installed???

That is cool, I have never been a fan of large coils, but looks like I am going to change my mind. Wow change frequency at the push of a button and no need to buy a bunch of coils, I'm in.

Might have to make a new spike board test to replace the nail board.

What really needs to be looked at in the video is it's not falsing on that large sickle blade or whatever it is..Its accurately assigning it as Iron ..that's GREAT I.D..And with large large coil to boot separating like that...UNCANNY really..

Run another unit down that large piece of iron and watch what happens...it will high tone and low tone that piece of iron..SOVEREIGN wont though it would null it quick..

I wish I knew what Freq he was in....I would surmise maybe Multi..and that leads to wonder if Multi is Truly the BBS tech???The iron rejection is very similar to the Sovereign in terms of not falsing

Another thing I notice from videos is when switching from freq to freq there's no lag so tells me there's no relay manipulating the freq like on a Impact or DEUS...Its truly a broad band coil...

The Multi freq just may be BBS tech...If it wasn't the machine would be able to select more than one freq at a time like on a V3i...say two or three at once..but it doesn't do that its one at a time or Multi..Not so sure the multi is all the selectable separate freqs at once..have a feeling its Broad Band Spectrum in use instead when selected....

Is this a 21st century Sovereign ??

BUT from the few videos available and looking between the lines I can see what there aim was and it's at the DEUS...AT MAX..and no need to spend an extra 400.00 bucks to get into the high freq's..

Price almost seems eerily low too...you get that freq range and waterproof to boot for 800.00 bucks???

Almost like they rushed a proto out to Block the AT MAX sells...and comes not long after the HF coils and 4.0 release of the DEUS...They want people to doublethink or reconsider or at least hold off right now..

We are watching detecting Wars right now...Remember the Cola wars...

What else may be on the horizon to offer a counter attack???

I agree Keith, I think ML wanted to stem the flow of sales going to the AT Max and Deus. Heck you get the whole Equinox 800 for the price of 2 Deus coils LOL! I have seen a lot of guys cancel their pre orders for the AT Max and hop on the Equinox pre order list. I have mine on order! For me personally, the best way to tell if s detector is suited for me is to USE it. If anything you get an education!

That's a stupid video and is nothing more than an air test be it with soil under the coin any VLF can do that.

You can represent this test with any machine.

If iron is longer than coil diameter.... it doesn't exist for metal detector.

It's a dirty trick rather than a capability of metal detector

I agree, and most VLF's will ID coins within 1 to 2 inches apart too not 6 or 8 inches apart like in that Video.

IMHO, but "Multi" is the frequency-switching mode.
That is, a certain quantum of time the detector operates on one frequency, then on another, and so on.

I kind of liked this air test: [www.youtube.com] Says 16 inches air testing this ring....... but then the guy paracuted in with the machine to..... is it hype? Put it in some salt water and give me a clear foot on that ring and you have my attention. I swear they seem to be replacing the Xcal and the CTX as a wading machine for a good price. Seems to have what us water guys have wanted for beach hunting....... but wont replace the CTX for dirt hunting with all its features. Its a wait and see.

Absolutely, I agree totally,

people seem to be getting their panties in a twist knowing nothing about the machine, so far I have not seen it do any thing any other machines can't do, And I am surprized by some of the comments by some of the more well versed people here, Before people start making wild statements and wild claims at leased wait until it hits the streets and been put to use, clam down people it is nothing but a BS Promo overloaded with spin and so far 100% un proven.

I know the ctx is a really good machine...
I know Brandon isnt going to lie about it.....

Thats plenty for me to be filled with hope!!

If he is connected to the factory or marketing that is reason enough for concern, we heard the same BS when another machine was released and other accessories so and yes they work well but not like they were claimed,

I just think people should stop talking rubbish and making up their own version of things and at leased wait until the machine is released and give the thing a chance,

Are you talking about a different manufacturer? I can't remember any Lies coming from Minelab tbh. They have constantly gotten better with their detectors (Don't bring up Go find for children. lol)
I just can't imagine that guy outright lying, why? To destroy his reputation? I don't even think most of these testers get paid and of all companies to "pay off" a tester, why Minelab? (Not saying you said that either, just going through some possibilities.)

Many, myself included, are waiting to see if it is some kind of new tech with superior performance. That said, we are all eager to see what it can do in the field in our conditions.

ML engineering is a phenom. The GPZ is a major break through in tech, it is not a PI detector but a vastly different type of VLF technology.

No I am not,

I know for a fact that just about all field testers get "Nothing" for all their hard work, At one time they had blokes on the payroll that were honest and up front and I bought many successful machines based of their word,

ML had some great people and you could take their word to the bank, Now they have no name people doing their promos that I would not buy a pet rock from.

Using tone break I can see me pulling lots of silver coins from iron laden areas.

Seems it's able to ignore both the surface eddy currents (diamagnetic, causes hi tone) and ferrous properties of the iron. I wonder if that is coil height dependent?

Great video SuchMuch i bet plenty of potential Equinox buyers were impressed by the iron spike video thinking that the result was unique to the Equinox when in fact it can be replicated by other detectors.

Deus fast stock program.
Not doing a downer on the Equinox, i've my pre order in!
