Rutus alter 71, new coils.

I saw a post from Rutus, they are showing 2 Mars MD coils for R71, a sniper and goliath at some event, not seen any pics yet.

The sniper would be sweet, as deep as the 11" coil is, I'd hate to have to dig deeper with a big coil!!

Also wil be new unit from RUTUS. Simple and cheaper version of Alter 71.

Do you (or anyone) have additional information on this cheaper Rutus 71 version?

Roughly what you "lose" between this cheaper version and the standard Rutus 71, and also what a rough price range will be?

Finally, any idea if there will be an easier way for potential U.S. customers to purchase, and have repairs done (besides sending the unit to Poland, and possibly struggling with the language barrier?)

MARS and MAS coils. Two companies. I was talking with MAS manufacturer. Everything sounds good. I get some coils soon.

Just checked marsmd site, they are not making coils for rutus and not planning at the moment

MARS MD works on it, but you should ask RUTUS straight. MAS company also work on it. I was talking with them 2 days ago.

What size is the small coil in the works for Rutus alter71??

I checked this coil at last event in Lublin. Size probably 8-9 inches.

I need that little 6x10 coil. Any new release timeline?

I got my new to me, used Rutus Alter71 last night. The 9" concentric on 18 Ultra Fast will pick up my micro test target to about the same depths that my G2+ will, only it doesn't give a visual id. Just a clean non-ferrous tone. Which is great. I'm still learning how to move around so I don't even know what the sensitivity setting was. But if the 9" does that well, the smaller 6x10 should kill the small stuff, or as well as 18kHz allows.

What is very interesting with the info on the simpler version (ARGO NE) is the fact of the upper freq running at 16 KHz, which on my RA 71, that seems to be its sweetest spot I run it at in my really lousy soil. Good tonal separation and really good at visual sign on its graph
