I think he means like somebody adding a ground balance control or similar.

You are correct Rich...some have been opened and the pots played with...ground balance being one of them...with a need to try other coils
Also the tones can be adjusted out of wack and never able to return them to factory spec.
It's a trip back to Tesoro for a checkup...sometimes it's a couple times before the Golden is back to factory settings.

Those Tesoro pots are tricky...if you tinker mark the original setting....lest its on a trip to Tesoro..

There is one for sale on Findmall for a good Price.
Man I was tempted to get as a Back up as love the New Tone Model. They are at least a inch Hotter in My opinion and others I have talked to.
And that's without dropping a tone.
Put a Brown Donut Concentric on and get another inch in Mild ground.

I picked that one up this morning...being shipped out

Is it frozen up your way yet? Night time temps are dropping down to the 20's here in Northern Utah. Freeze up is getting very close.

We have had great weather...been in the high 50's mid 60's...giving a drop in temperature this week a bit but we can still dig here.
Ground doesn't freeze here until January or February on the coast...so we get a bit more time to hunt
