Nice score, my oldest Reale I've dug in California is a tad older, a one Reale from 1776, worn so smooth, that you have to get it right in the light to make out the features and date - lol

Ozzie, you know that field....volume cranked up, looking for fringe stuff...that thing scared me with the volume and strong AM tone...jumped out of my skin.

The field Rod is talking about, we call the "button field". Never new a fellow could dig so many flat buttons in one small area....roughly a quarter acre. The entire field is probably 40-50 acres give or take.

Rod pulled the only silver that I know of from this spot.....And I'm sure it was virgin when it was discovered almost a decade ago.

Rod, that area still has goodies in it......how can we get the farmer to plow it extra deep? lol.....

Oz,
The best plan I can think of is....you camp out there until Mr. Farmer shows up, and offer to pay him some money.

You have a plan B?..... That one seems one sided.

Plan B is I am going there with a spade shovel and digging a pit....will spend 2/3 of my time digging the pit, then detect what i dug out, then detect bottom of pit....then fill it back in. trying to find a good day to do it, and take all day. Going to stay out in front of the bush spot, and let your area in front of the pole alone.

Rod, It's not my area, dig a pit wherever you think coins will be located. I'd love to see you pull out some great old coins there, I'm not stingy.

I have a 1"x 2" x 3" 350# pull earth magnet you should borrow that will pull the iron powder, nails and bits,... it's almost a must in that area. I would use the 5" coil since you will be digging small layers.

If you would like help, give me a buzz.

For one, the young pups, don't do the planning...they do the digging......if you're a good boy, I may let you refill the pit when I say we're done.... Capiche?
