Hey Thanks Tom for the video and thinking about me and the relic recoveries when you watched it...

Very thoughtful..

and yes to dig a Relic especially for me Civil war relics not matter how insignificant it may be it still makes you think what was happening when it was dropped 150 years ago...

It really is like a time capsule...

Think of it when that relic fell to earth 150 years ago and was lost in the dirt it was a whole different world...Yet we dig them up in a whole different world than they were used to...But the way I like to look at it is simplistic....I see it as if the soldier dropped it right in front of me and I picked it back up a moment later...yet generations have been born lived and died while it lay there...It can give you chills sometime's...

These objects are little portals to the past...people talk of having time machine's one day...Heck we already have them right now ..Where else can you touch the past like you can when retrieving relic's...

Thanks Tom!

Well said Keith, I guess that's why relic hunting is my favorite.

Relics- portals to the past...I like that. We are the next ones to see/touch them since the last holder.
