Buy a new F75 Classic GT with Noise Cancellation "DeLuxe-II" and receive your choice of NFL stickers to personally ‘skin’ your detector.

The new Fisher V/Pulse. The first selectable Frequency VLF/ Pulse hybrid detector to obselete ALL detectors not just VLF. Incorporating the first generation of discriminating pulse technology. Waterproof to 30ft.

HUGE announcement for fisher and tek was how it was described and on the 23rd.

My gut says not a new detector or detectors.

Maybe HUGE is talking about their HUGE new facility and some business model changes and/or buying another company. Tesoro?

complete speculation have no idea

Who knows, maybe it’s just excellent stuff at a great price - oh wait - we’d hate that.

Multiple companies working overtime to bring out better and better stuff at ever more attractive prices - our answer... wait ... how can I sell off my old stuff for 90% of what I paid for it...if you bring out better stuff at a great price or good stuff at a better price?

Get real. Time marches on, the hobby changes, not just in the US, but around the world. Companies who want to stay in business must adapt. Technical innovation, added value .. whatever it takes.

Some seem annoyed that FTP has had several updated or tweaked versions of some of it's machines such as the F75 over the yrs.

I recall over the years companies such as Minelab doing the same. A couple examples that come to mind, the Explorer had something like five different model designations over it's lifespan of about 15 yrs. The Sovereign six or eight different model designations and tweaks over the yrs. Nothing wrong with that as far as I'm concerned. Sure they weren't brand new designs, but new wrinkles/updates to the original design of pretty good machines, that made them a bit better.

Since the development of things like adjustable ground balancing, discriminating ability, and multi-freq. many yrs ago, most advancements have been in the realm of smaller tweaks and updates of VLF Induction Balance machines. Those tweaks don't necessarily warrant the complete developement of a new machine from the ground up. IF the new machine (s) being developed by any manufacturer are truly new advancements that provide as yet unattainable abilities, I will wait patiently for it (them) to arrive. In the meantime, my current machines are doing quite well.

WHAT'S wrong with you people its on the 23rd! That's the day after tomorrow. Wait its just after midnight so it is tomorrow. Sorry I got confused. But the turkeys are waiting until Thanksgiving. At least we can take the day off and wait for the bomb to drop (can I still say that?), I mean the big announcement to give us hope for a brighter tomorrow, but it will be today then. Anyway, if something comes up and there isn't an announcement, I guess we can eat turkey, watch football and hopefully sneak off and get in some detecting. Oh, and remember to thank God. He has been better to us than we deserve!

What ever it is, if anything, it won't be enough to satisfy everyone. I, for one, have had a good ten year + run old coin hunting with a F 75 ( 3 of them over this time span) and I still consider it among one of the best detectors going today. Anyway, everyone have a great turkey day, stay safe and hope you aren't to disappointed. HH jim tn

I will be honest the T2 Classic with boost mode added is very tempting I am thinking that may be the only detector I need in my arsenal besides my old trusty Bandido II big box machine.

Interesting. Glad they waited til the Nth hour. Nothing says "we care about our customers" like do something for them AFTER all the other companies did. Between Fisher and Tesoro, it's like a race between the tortoise and the tortoise.

I wish Fisher the best.

F75 series just don't cut it for me.

I hope they know what they need as far as performance with their next flagship.

Btw audio doesn't seem to be a great attribute on past models.

Maybe they will do better.

Ah yes, the old tortoise and the hare. As I recall the tortoise did pretty well at the finish line. eye rolling smiley

Tesoro, unfortunately has become irrelevant in the realm of new product development. FTP on the other hand has amassed some pretty good engineering talent. I have to believe they're working on something worthwhile. Time will tell? Meantime here in the cold north, my batteries are pulled from my machines and I'm in my winter research mode. A new machine just as the snow is flying, and the ground freezes isn't too practical. I can wait till the warm climate folks run the new Minelab machine through it's paces, and wait till the birds chirp in the Spring to decide if I want one.

Patience grasshopper.

The F75 works for me as well. Last year using the F75 for the majority of the 101 hunts that I went on, I found over 250 silver coins plus a lot of other good stuff.

Unfortunately, sometimes those with no patience, become unnecessary patients. Impatience is bad for the heart! That's my bit of wisdom for the day.
