yep THIS is what I was concerned about. A select few that may(or may not) have actual units and price gouge while Minelab still hasn't announced a date yet. So there will be some person that gives the seller the money and may get their machine, or get stuck waiting anyway while paying hundreds more.

Yes agree,,though that amount is not much for some.

I need a few more reviews before hand over the money, after all there are many fine detectors on the short list.

If you look at that Ebay Swiss seller there is a picture of gold nuggets jumping out of thin air....what a laff.

I bet the seller does not have Brandon Neices's permission to use his likeness

The word I have heard from an individual who preordered shortly after the chute opened , when trying to confirm his preorder with his well known dealer who supplies tools for the hobby , was that this dealer has over a 100 not only preordered but PREPAID to fill before the others who were simply preordered would be considered.

Only a fool would buy at that price. Or someone for whom the increase is inconsequential. Either way, who cares? Unscrupulous dealers mark up prices on things all the time; video game consoles, shoes, even cars. It's supply and demand. If the supply is limited and someone wants the damn thing so badly, they can raise the price. When there are a ton of Equinox detectors being sold at MSRP or below, those dealers will have to come down. Beyonder-PA, why are you SO concerned? Why do you care what stupid or rich people do with their money?

Well, I am more concerned with people good honest people in the hobby getting ripped off thinking they will be first to get an Equinox. Maybe some will, most likely not. For the record, I like Minelab I really do and I am on the list for an Ecuinox.
