Who here has or has had a Roach detector?

Just wondering.

I bet it was advertised as the detector that will obsolete all others. Ya reckon?

That coil arrangement is essentially what's inside a BigFoot coil :- a figure-8 receive loop, inside a circular transmit loop (just squared-off).

Yes, Paul in CA has at least one. But only for vintage sakes. Ie.: he was not swinging one back at that time, in those days.

Despite the magazine article introduction, very few were ever made or sold. Hence extremely hard to find, if you are a collector of vintage machines.

He was also first cousins to Hal Roach of the Our Gang fame. Who was my great uncle on my dads side second removed. lol HH John Roach
