F75 surface detecting tips.........
July 17, 2008 06:45AM
hi there......
i have been testing and detecting for quite some time now and the F never stops
surprising me....
--observe that these adjustments are strictly meant for "on the surface or grassroot level detecting"
-----coil type ...small coil
-----sens(or fine tune gain)...3 (yes only 3)
-----disc ...30-33 (or a lower level)
-----tones ...4
-----process ...BC
seemingly odd this set up works fine for surface coins in short cut grass..
-length or depth of grass aprox.2,5"-3"
--with the F adjusted in this way you are still able to pick up, or get a
decent signal on let`s say a screw cap down to aprox.4"in my type of ground.

---prosperous hunting

I don't understand why that will make a differenct? Does it help on masking on such a low sens?

Have you tried going back to reg settings and found the 75 missed the same target?

Does it give the small coil an even smaller footprint so it picks us less trash?

hi there Lawrenzo..
--the sole reason for recommending this set up is to avoid signals from trash
that is farther down....
--yes you get super separation and pick up less trash..
