Well, I was just throwing out that opinion shouldn't be the prime factor in making a decision in regards to which machine is best or the one someone should purchase.

Currently Here are my machines:

ctx3030 x2
nox 800
nokta impact
blisstool

etrac(shared)

I saw a new machine from Nokta that has caught my eye for sure so I may be adding another one.

As for helpful information, I have posted plenty to read, just search my name.

I sold all of my detectors over the last few years.. getting rid of the heaviest and most battery draining models .. down to 2 light weight one's now, my deus and nox 600. For my needs these two should be fine for a while.

"Big Iron on his hip" Marty Robbins---deep big iron is my passion, hence, the PI is my fav.--use 2 ML 2200,ML Extreme,a hot one, and Whites TDI Pro, and SL. The TDI Pro is my fav. because I don't have to be wrapped in cables like with the ML's.Approaching the 150 mark, from 6lb ball up.

wrapped in cables? I use the Detek wireless transmitter and receiver with my Pro Golds and mount the battery on the side of the GPX 4800. Completely untethered. FREEDOM!!!

"mount battery on side"---the 6volt factory battery or the "gold screamer" type? I now have the Garrett wireless system.

I use the factory battery. It's carried in a pouch on the Eureka Worx cover I have for the 4800. Sure, adds weight to the 4800 but with the stock coil, the balance of the detector is surprisingly good. I'll take the weight over the tether any day.
Re the cover, I plug the Detek transmitter into the quarter-inch jack on the rear of the 4800 and lay the transmitter on top of the battery and close the pouch cover. Works like a charm.

Thanks Wayne--just ordered Worx cover and I have the Garrett Z system. I had been hesitant to spend $500.00 on the Gold Screamer battery. I really enjoyed both my 2200 and Extreme, just couldn't tote enough Black Jack to put up with being wrapped in cables.Lol
