HF Coil For Coin Detecting?

Feel free to move this posting to another forum ... If it doesn't fit in?.

Just purchased another Minelab X-Terra 705, but this with HF coil. Would like to hear from others on our Family Forum your adventures, thoughts, or experiences using the X- Terra 705 HF for coin detecting. This discussion is not limited to just those that have used the HF X-Terra 705 but others that have used different HF detectors for Coin an/or Jewelry, Relics.

BTW HF X-Terra is 18.75 kHz. just to give the Forum of where I'm coming from. Your input would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much! KK ... USAF 62-66

Hello KK------Have used the Fors Relic and F-19/G2+ for coins (and relics)--they are running at 19 kHz.------Have had very good success with them in this application.------I've owed/used the Xterras but for some odd reason never did just "click" with them.---Just me, I guess.-----When I used the 705 Xterra, I liked the 5X10" 18.75 DD coil on board the best.-----------USAF '56-'60 thumbs down

I failed to mention that the 705 Gold Pack came with the 5 x 10 HF DD coil. It's interesting for me to learn about the Fors Relic & F-19/GS. I recognized the Nokta & Fisher. At some point, if I'm around and can get around a bit, I would like to look an hear from others concerning this matter. Your input was refreshing. However, I should first get completely familiar with the 705. As they would give us in the USAF ... OJT. Thanks for your service and I forgot to mention that it is OK to PM. KK
