Pinpointer question.

I need to know which pinpointers on the market are only sensitive at the tip. I use a Periscope probe, but need a back up just in case mine goes tits up. Thanks in advance!!

No

I'll describe.
It is the most sensitive on tip.
But has dead spot down on sides once you get down on barrel some approx little over 1/2" for a ways, about 2" then it will detect on the sides of pointer shaft.
Run at Sens 4 setting it does get pretty good depth.

It's the closest of the high gain PPs to being only tip sensitive..

There's actually the sensitive tip...then a dead spot behind it...then it picks back up in sensitivity as you go toward the button.
But for all practical purposes, and at least for my style, it was (practically) only tip sensitive.
