Hello and thank you for your messages.

Below is the weight of the coil.

Note if I'm not mistaken, this must be one of the lightest coil in the world (compared to its size 12.5 inch)

Hipmount or shaftmount battery packs

Basic pack autonomy between 5 1/2 to 6H

Extended pack autonomy between 11H to 12H

That ok ,It's gonna let plenty of room for the other detectorist to get some interesting target, weight of the machine + deep hole + limited battery time + and maybe expensive price.

That all good afterallspinning smiley sticking its tongue out , it's could have been worst if the machine was light , 30h of battery time and under 800$ , polyvalent and efficient on wet sand.
Would have made all your fbs bbs machines truly obsolete, im happy i can still use my sovereign.

It's definitely the price of power ... (although I do not know the exact price yet)

Double sensitivity on low conductors if you compare with BBS and FBS.

The power of a GPX in the volume of the equinox size box !

Why? You may want that battery under the arm as a counter balance.

In truth you will not find much with a Sovereign when Le.Jag detect before you with an Impulse AQ ! >grinning smiley<

It will remain however the pleasure of the stroll and the fresh air !

As far as I am concerned, I prefer to have two small battery packs for an overall autonomy between 11 and 12 hours.

These battery packs are really small and waterproof!
The spare battery pack fits in the pocket of jeans.

The active pack can be either on the belt or on the shaft.

Alexandre,
Your pic above with detector on the scales. Looks like no battery (for weight) shown.
What do the scales show weight wise exaclty ? Hard for me to see. Can’t tell if you are showing pounds or grams, etc.
And then what do the battery packs weigh in ounces or grams?

And do you have any pics of headphones that will be sold with units ?

An approximate 6 minute video showing the detector as far as assembly, battery hook up (with optional placement) , rod adjustment, arm cuff adjustment, headphone hook up would be nice.
And done in any language your choice.

Re: New Fisher Manta

The batteries are not connectable together.

If you want to take an extra battery with you under water it is possible by plugging a cap on the connectors.

You will have to get out of the water to replace it and put caps on the empty battery.

The connector is not detachable under water.

I do not know anyone who spends more than 6 hours underwater or in the waves, but it's interresting...

The battery pack is made from the latest Li ion cells. (Famous brand) 3500 mah
I do not have the latest waterproof battery pack at home but the weight is between 200 grams and 300 grams for a pack.

Sorry in advance, but do not confuse the rudeness and irony that I regularly use in terms of humor. smileys with beer

Sorry for the picture with weight :

here, it's the weight of IMPULSE AQ without battery pack / 3lb and 2.4 oz or 1428 grs

If you attach the battery pack to the shaft, you add the weight of the battery otherwise it's the right weight.

I do not have the latest waterproof battery pack at home but the weight is between 200 grams and 300 grams for a pack.

Re: New Fisher Manta

This is the maximum power currently for the Li ion for a cell on the market (for 3500mah -> 18650 size)
There is a lot of copy on the market, that's why you have to choose big brands. LG, SAMSUNG, SANYO etc ....

https://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/Common18650Summary%20UK.html

If we want for example 7000 mah then it takes 2 times more cell, so 2 times heavier. (big battery pack)

Nothing to do with the price, if there was 5000 mah in 1 cell I would have bought whatever the price ... winking smiley

The battery is fully charged at 16.8V but there will be no drop in voltage because the detector regulates the voltage internally to 15V.

I'm estatic to see there is not a stupid power supply cord to be tethered to!! That's worth at least $500 in itself.

Dew,
Don’t be mad.
Instead be glad we have the inventor of the detector here giving info.
I think questions are fine. But they should be more generic maybe.
I think loads of thought has been put into this rig.
You seem to have had similar worries about battery power (run time) with Nox and maybe the Tarsacci.
We understand you seem live in the water for upteen hours at a time.
But how many others do?
Detectors have to be designed to fit more of the bigger populace using the detector for its intended purpose(s).
Detector weight is a biggie I think.
So having smaller weight power supply yet give folks access to spare power supplies is fine.
Don’t seem hard to change or take a long time.
Just seems like your questions are geared more for the extreme.
I think First Texas and Alexandre want the detector to indeed sell.
And First Texas has made water units before, so not strangers.

Dew I am tickled to death to have Alexandre posting on this forum. What more could we ask for here?
