Where can I buy a new or used Equinox 800

Thanks for any info. I cannot find one anywhere

Scroll down, there's a used one for sale here. Other than that it's either get on a waiting list or get lucky on timing. I got one last weekend by shear luck, no waiting.

call your Minelab dealers - may take some calling but some do have 800s in stock and available. Forum sponsors and others mentioned frequently on forums are a good place to start. There is one in Durham, NC that has had several available at various times over the past 2 months.

I found one way back that a dealer had in stock.

Or Call the dealers. They are starting to get them in stock. 600s are around too.

That's where I got mine. Took 4 days with free shipping.
Drop shipped directly from Minelab.

Why anyone is waiting weeks and months waiting to get higher up on a list is beyond me....
All you have to do is watch the Cabela's site daily, and jump on one when they get a new allocation.

With some price gouging (still) going on, I'd think $969 would sound a whole lot better to most than $1,100 or $1,200.

To each his own, I guess...
It will be nice when they finally get the production sorted/smoothed out.

I got mine from Cabela's and didn't pay any sales tax. The shipping was free as well.

Not everyone has to pay sales tax.

In Oregon we don't (thank God)!

I'm tempted to list mine while they are still bringing near what they cost new. My hunting season is over til fall and surely they will be readily available by then.

I just so happen to have tracked down a new, never fired S&W 629 44 Mag with 7.5 inch barrel for about the same price as an Equinox 800 should bring used without price gouging. I'd really like to have that 44 Mag *hint hint*.

I agree totally!!

Minelab is a publicly traded company. Publicly traded companies have stockholders to answer to and are constantly driven to increase profits. When you see 800s selling for over retail none of that additional money is going to Codan (Minelab's parent company) It is in their interest to fully supply demand.

Be patient, they will be readily available soon.

Cabelas only has 600s in stock. Would rather buy from a smaller dealer. Any dealers with a new 800 please PM me

The 800 is now coming in and out of stock at Cabelas. Unlike the other dealers, it does not take preorders, but sells out each allotment as it comes in. If you check each day, you will catch it in stock.

You need to check Cabela's many times a day if you expect to get an 800. They usually sell out in a few hours.

Another place that has no pre-orders is Colonial. As the 800's come in, they send out emails to everyone on the waiting list and it's first come first served. You have to be ready to hit the order button the moment you get the email.

I've heard of people having success just calling around to every Minelab dealer in the country. Eventually you find a dealer that has one. You can get the list of dealers on the Minelab website.

Another guy on the Equinox Fan Club got one from Cabela's on Tuesday.

They must be getting a steady flow of them.
