" This dog can hunt" Take it from an " Old Guy" that knows. Relics , coins, jewelry. Big and small with superior modulation and 4 well thought out modes. I use the optional elliptical coil. Nice! Like David Pumpkins say's " Any Questions?

Yeah, got a question.----How is it different/better than the Makro Gold Racer?

Compared to the Deus and Nox?

My only concern with their machines is that you had better love them if you buy it new, cause there sure ain't much demand for them. You will lose your hind end on it trying to sell it used. I know metal detectors aren't an investment item, but their machines take a huge hit in wholesale value compared to more established name brands. I've owned several of their machines but haven't saw any thing they bring to the table that is better than the average detector on the market. I think the big reason behind this are the detectorists themselves that give the suggestions for what they want. In the end, they are trying to make them like everything else that has already been out on the market. I want new and cutting edge...not clones of machines that have been out for years.

6 to ten inches on silver coins in Micro mode running 70 gain. Low conductive small gold coins around 7. However it works great in my three bar dirt and can unmask with the best of them in iron patches. I have a Multi Kruzer and prefer this model . It won't be for everyone but it works very well for my conditions. I find allot of small Spanish, cap bust, and half dimes. Great on buttons and relics. It will detect very small gold nuggets.

Not very good on very small studs. Loves white gold and platinum with decent depth. In the Micro mode it will move some mid conductors and higher to include targets like Indian Head pennies into the low 80's on the TID. Copper and silver coins will read even higher. Less numbers to deal with when looking for gold..

There is a lot to love about the Makro/Nokta Detectors -

Unmatched International Service/Support
Well made and thought out products
Regular releases of new outstanding performing technology
Affordability - Reliability - Performance

As for taking a hit selling used - I believe these guys are the
reason why a lot of the old tired brands have dropped their prices
on their revitalized aging tech.

At the end of the day you are getting a more versatile
detector when you go with either Turkish manufacturer -

that is however, my opinion & I am regularly wrongsmileys with beer

Agree. But that new Technology let me down. Glad it works for you. I own several detectors from overseas and they all work well so for me resale is not an issue. It can also be a bargain to buy one used.

All three are different and have there quirks. None are perfect. I hate to dig small non ferrous crap in iron patches. This one has modulated audio and at 61kHz its easy to tell if it's something I don't dig. Strange how someone who hates digging small targets loves a machine that can find them. More there than meets the eye.

Well said.
I posed a few questions on another thread that involved " eating crow" as to why there hasn't been much being posted regarding the MK . Didn't get one response. Perhaps it was the wrong place to post my questions. I think Daniel hit it on the head. Although, they are capable machines, they are nothing innovative and cutting edge. Just like Garrett...same old machine given a different name. Nok/Mak customer service is second to none, no doubt. I'm hoping Nok/Mak introduces a PI or a true multi frequency unit in the near future. I believe that the days of single frequency VLF are coming to an end. And, judging by the luke warm response to the MK, it would seem most consumer's aren't willing to buy the same old tech as it isn't a step up from what they already have.

any questions?

Yeah, here's a few -
What can the Gold Kruzer do that the Impact can't (besides breathe under water) and be hotter on gold?
Does it beat the Impact in high mineral/red dut? If so, explain how the GK is better.
How does it do in modern trash?

Thanks

Tough to beat an Impact. 36 detectors in one. However this works very well in red dirt and let's me cherry pick the iron patches with ease. I love vco modulated audio. Not only for depth also sizing. The Micro mode will up average targets making it easier to find low conductors. It uses three tones. It's summer now. We have high water due to heavy rain. The Impact will have to rest until fall and get used to travelling with it's new lil buddy. I only test in my pounded sites an the GK did well. Hey my initials are GK. Good Karma.

Bingo!!
Why hijack another's thread instead of staring your own?

Because it was a MK related thread (about the only one) . As I said, it turned out to be the wrong place. You are correct, I should have started my own thread.

My questions have all been answered so no need to now.

Good report George

sounds like a good little iron sifter for smaller low/er conductors = cuff buttons and the like thumbs down

I'm liking my MK with 7" concentric in the thick iron.

I have a question about the general build quality since you are one of the few that I know of who has had their hands on both the Equinox and Kruzer.
Seems I remember the quality of the Equinox was less than impressive to you which I would concur with since I had to send mine back to Minelab for both rod and screen issues. Is the Makro build quality as good as the Impact which many have complimented?

Sure the Impact had plenty of it's own build issues.
