Hey tn - how about you actually look at/listen to some of the dozens of links you throw up and tell us why you think that they are interesting or worthwhile?

Just a suggestion. Don’t quit posting this stuff - it’s useful, but how about a bit of extra “value added”?

P.S Hopefully whatever Tex Kinsey has to say will be less cryptic than his amusing, sometimes informative, but often puzzling posts - love you George!

Hard for me to post value added info about Kruzer series.
I don't have one.
But I can still post links to info others may find helpful.

I dont think he is wanting added info, but wanting the cliff notes version of what is contained in the links.

If it’s interesting enough to me to post a link, I normally post a few words about what I think the relevance or significance is - why I think the forum might be interested, etc.

The bare link is kind of “thin” I think. I don’t know about others, but I often prioritize what I read by who posts it and the opinion I have of the typical interest/value to me of their words. I’m sure we would be interested to hear someone’s opinion or thoughts regarding a link that they took the trouble to post.

In this case, because I think Tex is a fascinating character, I’m hooked, but a lot of links mean nothing to me and having to go off and examine them to see if they touch on any of my interests is something I usually don’t get around to doing.

Feel free to disregard - probably just my own preference.

Disregarded.
I found out early in life you can't satisfy all the folks all the time, so I quit trying to.

Btw,
You really should call Charmin and complain.
Why?
Cause they don't provide the cliff notes on the packaging on how to wipe one's behind.

Was pretty easy for me to figure out what it was.

Good point TR. I hadn’t properly considered that. Still my post generated an interesting discussion - it was kind of wide ranging - covered a lot of ground - reached some areas I wouldn’t have anticipated - lol.

Having said that, it was great fun listening to George. Pretty good general discussion of how he detects, what he is looking for in target intelligence - enabling him to recover what he is looking for. Interesting especially how he doesn’t want small targets and that in spite of the very high frequency of the Gold Kruzer, it wasn’t an issue for him to avoid having to dig tiny targets.

He was pretty clear about his dislike of the Equinox. Said it was poorly built - disliked the compressed ID range which basically made it a “dig it all” machine and was pretty shocked at ML building a multifrequency machine which failed to discriminate steel bottle caps.

Good podcast, but the production qualities could be improved - lots of audio noise and such. I listen to dozens of hours of podcasts a week, but haven’t found a metal detecting one that makes me listen unless the guest is someone like George Kinsey whose opinions and experience are worth a lot to me.

By the way, if you have an iOS device, download the free podcast app - Overcast - it’s really excellent.
