With luck I should have Nox 6” coil soon

I will be talking about as I operate/ test.

Will be comparing to Deus wearing elliptical Hf coil and Etrac with 6”coil and Impact with 4x7” coil.
Will compare to stock 11” Equinox coil too.

Should be interesting.

Some things I will talk about.
Emi using smaller coil vs stock.
Depth (high, medium and lower conductors)
Separation
Iron bias setting affects as far as using small coil in heavier iron.

I look forward to your info since I have a 6" on order also. On my AT Pro, I loved the 5x8" garrett coil, it really produced for me. I almost preferred it to the stock coil except when working fields and dry sand ares of the beach. It was great for parks, creeks, dense woods and old home sites eg anywhere you needed to concentrate your efforts to a smaller area.

I still feel that 600 owners will benefit more than 800 owners?

Why?

The 800 already has 9 Recovery settings to 3 for the 600: so it 'could be too fast' for the 800 and it 'might lead to confusion' for it to zero in on whatever it's trying to zero in on?
It could hit 'too many' bits n pieces...?

The 'slower' speed of the 600 will be perfectly suited for it?"

Time will tell.---Just keep your recovery speed lower on the 800.----It will confuse some I suppose.

You may be correct. I thought about that right after a few minutes of using Equinox 800 with stock coil.
We’ll see.

That sounds like a dream come true. When you get it and test it against the other detectors you have. I think the smaller will be the game changer that the nox needs to live up to the multi freq and the adjustments....I like smaller coils six inch is small but for iron hunting it is a great size and Minelab may put more time into the design of the coil and make it really shine. I would think it is going to be a long time until you get the new coil???

Ordered mine today and it shipped priority mail. Most small authorized Minelab dealers are getting 3 coils this week. Key is find smaller Minelab dealers and ask, they have smaller waiting lists.

Should have my coil on Monday.
Then I can start doing a good shakeout using/ testing.

By next weeks end I should have a good idea about the coil.
