What'd ya find out as for age Bado?

I know it's an underwear button but not sure on age - seems older to me like spanish/american war era? Or WWI?

It is, according to my research, a Civil War era U.S. Army Calvary trouser button. Which makes sense as this site has produced a number of "C" Eagle buttons and other period artifacts. A nice addition to the button collection.

Thanks Keith! What source do you use/recommend? From what I saw it was a toss up between the two. I figured from the other period finds at the site it was Civil War era.
