Chores and to do items on this property are what keeps me from detecting as I use to, that, and more grand kids in the mix,,,,all good though.

Congrats on your retirement George.

All I can say is folks who retire, get yourself a hobby, some thing to do to keep your mind a going.
I have seen some folks who were tickled to retire, but never found themselves anything to do.
These folks didn't seem to live as long.

Detecting keeps me thinking.
Glad I got into it..
Or I might be one of those I describe above.

You wait........ its not the honey dew list, but much like work, its MANAGEMENT who can drive you to the beach lol. I retired when i was 50 to enjoy life and stay active..... so Social Security suffered. BUT..... the beach gold pays for my detectors. You will find you stay very busy when retired if you are doing it right.

Congrats on the retirement!!

Personally I can't wait to retire! My neighbor is retired, but his wife still works. He sits at home and watches TV all day long....what a waste of time, I can imagine all of the mega detecting trips I could do if retired!

I was 48 when I retired (planned to take a year of world travel and go back but never did, lol) and yep, my SS is only $1486/mo but what the heck,
better than a sharp stick in the eye and my (current) wife works (take my advice and marry an asian who is both a good cook and a physiotherapist) and
takes care of me (and my aches), lol....time is much more valuable than $$$...

There you go Tex. Heed those words. Not sure you need 3 though. One, with your instinct would probably do the job. I'm 68 and close to hanging it up myself. Looking forward to digging more holes. I live less than 30 minutes from you. So when that time comes let's have a beer and dig some relics. But go easy on me.

It won't be long before the Harvest Moon. Rain will fall and hay will be cut. I would love to dig with you. So many new permissions to gather.

Right on Big T. I'm looking forward to it big time. I still hunt with the T2 because of your videos from the past. Matter of fact I have 3. One backs up the others. 60 39 bp. I do though adjust those sittings according to the sight. Don't hold that against me. smileys with beer
