Detectival 2018..

I'm on the fence about another detector. For those that understand the impact and use the Gen mood and the 7" concentric coil it is hard to beat. Sold the deus because in my dirt the impact for me preformed better. The Nox seems like a nice machine and as with all new units that come out it has its pros and cons. But I guess I'm waiting to see if this fall anything new and different is going to come to light. Thus Detectival 2018.. I still think the nox needs a mid-sized coil maybe a 5x9.5. And a big software update. So I can wait for that and fall and see if anything surfaces before I start hunting again.

I'm not buying one due to the hype and they've not released a price list for replacement parts either. I'm also taking a stance against their ad campaign for it, in which I've not seen yet, but will probably be deeply offended by their hurtful words and slogan once it arrives. Especially if it involves the word "obsolete" or other similar wording. Oh and you probably wont be able to trust any of the initial reviewers posts about whatever it/they is/are because those people are just pawns on the playing board that got freebies to promote the product. You have to wait for independent reviews by people that actually paid for the unit, and then you choose to believe only the reports that coincide with your own pre-determined expectations.

I hear it doesn't use any frequencies at all, and renders all other machines, that wastefully use one or more frequencies, recyclable.

I heard the display shows pretty pictures of coins and jewelry. But you have to use the Mojave to pinpoint because it only give a general location. One of 10 testers claim it works on the right day.

PS: it's not an LRL so get that crazy thought out of your head.

You won't believe what Tesoro is coming out with, finally the Cazador. OOps, who spilled the beans.........................who is this 25 year old Egorio Stansmicherman electronics engineer..................Rusty Henry retired...........something is going down at Tesoro.

LowBoy........ how many new coils did ML come out with for the CTX? They need to take serious aim at producing coils for those individual modes. Hey id go for a narrow 9.5 like a NEL coil. Little less noise heavy and may adjust the sensitivity just in the sweet spot. Id even like to see a 13 over the alledged 15.

No batteries required you just wear the hat with a solar panel attached on the bill....... which attaches to you dowsing rod.......... and comes with a cup of Koolade.

I would think this new detector Anfibio's has to be a flagship unit. And it has to one up the Nox 800. Use multi freq that we can select. Maybe two at a time. Always wanted to hunt with a higher freq and a lower one. Maybe 20-5 and 30-5 and then select maybe one at a time? Or select any two at a time. I can run off a list of what I want but I'll leave that to them to tell us about. And see if the Impact is going to have a new sibling..

After reading more I see it says

So that is nothing new if the freq is only one at a time. Sometimes a company comes out with too many detectors and nothing that is really better than is already out there this maybe happening to this company. They have a great lineup already.

The biggest thing I got from the forum posts was the announcement of the merger to one company instead of two. My best guess is the Anfibio will be the first machine for the new company and be the flagship. It looks like an upgrade to the Multi Kruzer...a few more modes for tones, but looks like it is still selectable single freq instead of multi freq. Unless of course, they have something else up their sleeve.

Is it Amphibo or Amphibian?

All code talk is lost on me. I've looked and looked at the faceplate pics and nothing jumps out at me at the minute. I thought the "all seeing eye" comment was a clue so I was looking for a symbol. All I saw was the triangle beside the Gen mode that might be a clue to that reference but I'm just spitballing. Sept is just around the corner. Detectival is the week of my birthday too.

I think the triangle next to Gen mode denotes "Delta". There are 2 Gen modes on the Impact, one being Gen D (Delta).

Huh, I wonder what the "Notch V" and "Tone V" are??

Could you just go into that frequency option and let us see what's there Hopefully they listened to their audience and there's a SMF option in that menu, else I hate to say it, but it's basically looking like a waterproof Impact.

It has three Freq but I don't see it having a big advantage over their other detectors. It could be a racer replacement? Or does it run all three freq at one time? That could be the game changer for me....but I don't think so.

I would guess notch v and tone v are notch volume and tone volume.
