I'll get one and take it to the city park---should make recovery easier. LOL

I go around the roots and under, not fun. Sometimes the roots are a tangled mess, crisscrossing all over the place and no way around to the target....then, depending on the signal, I will cut what's necessary, still, not fun.

You do that doc.

There are places though the device might come in handy.
Feed chain under root in a couple places and cut.
Sure might limit damage to a nice find too.
Not a very big container the device packs in.
Person could always go back to a site with one and try to get a hard to get to find out.

Just thought Inwould share.
Looking at prices of such gadgets, pretty cheap really.

Just get a keyhole saw and be done with it.

With some of the smaller diameter roots I wish I had this little cordless "chainsaw" with me.

Careful cutting roots and such....could damage tree and get you thrown out of your favorite park or perhaps getting a park shut down for hobby..

I don't generally park hunt.

But in old house site.
I'll try to cut roots.
Seems that where are the goodies are usually.
Dead giveaway on a better find, under bigger root.

I wouldn't do this in a park setting. However when I'm out in the woods, a device like this would come in handy. Also, I am not talking about utilizing Ozzie's 327 small block special lol

Cutting dirt/ roots this chain will get dull in a hurry. Pick up a sharpener as well.

We understand rules change in the woods...but in a local park or neighbors yard its a no no.....found some dandies under roots myself but try to go under if I can..
