!850s house/yard. Doing a plaster redo job for some homeowners that just bought this place and are fixing it up inside before moving in. Guy said house was built in 1900 according to his docs but I seen cut nails in the walls I'm working on so I went out to the truck and whipped out my maps to check and sure enough, it shows on an 1850s. I didn't tell him that though and/but I asked if he'd care if I played around with my machine in the yard = he said have at it and good luck! He went off for the day and I took him up on his offer grinning smiley

1972 Gold class ring
1865 .02 center (looks like it was dropped fresh outta the mint)
1863/4/5 civil war era store card/token
a merc and a silver roosevelt
flat button
etc

not shown is an old pocket knife, and some doodads i stuff in my pouch.

MRH -- Nice finds!! It was killing me to not be able to go today. You both could be right on the house though. The tax records and documents for some homes only go back to 1900 or early 1900s. My area has several pre civil war homes but the tax records online only show them as a generic 1905 year. We attribute it to being a courthouse fire that destroyed all the records.

Some lovely finds in great condition.
In case you were unaware, the lead/pewter 'flower' item is off the lid of a tobacco jar:

Good post. And I like how you include pix of the actual hunt location. It sort of sets the stage and sets the feel, so the viewer can get the "in-situ" context. Good job.

On this outing I used the Deus with LF 9" coil - version 3.2 (my favorite version and coil).

I'm working there all week though so I'll hit it again with the Kruzer on one of the days before I'm done with the job and report back with any more findings smiling smiley

Thanks Pimento

Wasn’t sure what it was/is. Thought it might be off of a furniture piece of the like!

Love the 2 cent and store card token (my favorite find). Class ring is very similar in design to my 1970 ring.

Very nice! Living in AZ I can only dream about relics like that. Although, the weather is getting really nice here now. Great job!
