public parks,would you?

I just finished the How To Repair Damaged Coins article. Definitely a worthwhile read.

Thanks for sharing, Bill, I'm looking forward to reading more of these articles on your blog. You are an excellent writer.

"The Tesoro closure is all a part of this."...ok, you piqued my interest. Care to expound?grinning smiley

2x That Harold. I still enjoy going out and swinging the detector, but many of the places I hunt have been gone over at least a 'few' times. I have to work harder for everything. I still come home with keepers and I still enjoy the friendships, meeting folks, exploring. Every now and again I find a little spot that seems to have been missed. And I do enjoy getting in tune with the detector as I search. I know you have a affinity for some of the older analog type detectors. I think these types of detectors really speak to you, have a personality of their own, and that makes a trip afield much more of an experience.

Hang in there Harold and enjoy what you can. With all of these latest generation kids going digital with their wallets, we're seeing fewer coins being lost. Seems they also have a like for silicone and tungsten 'jewelry' as well. Fads come and go. Styles come and go. Hopefully real coins and real jewelry come back in vogue again quickly.

And somebody tell the US Mint enough already with the zincoln pennies. Nobody wants them anymore.

Same here Roscoe!
Did anyone here win one of those supposed monthly 'Metal Detector Giveaways' that LT promoted?
I quit subscribing back in 2010 when LT started adding graphic symbols or characters in the article content just to cut down material. Not to mention the rehashed fictional treasure stories.

Very well and good Lee retired. However what about those ,like me ,who had re- subscribed and are owed prorated compensation? I have a friend who paid for the digital end of year Treasure Facts? We ,and others are LEGALLY owed for the issues and services not received. That was very bad customer relations when with no notice he suddenly shut everything down. I have tried writing,e-mailing and faxing people listed on the header page and no one answers. I had subscribed and paid for two years and only received TWO of the promised issues. It may not seem much money to you,but to me and others,it is.

I guess the name was prophetic - “Lost Treasure”. - folks just didn’t know that it was their treasure which was going to be lost.
