Because it's one of the best old useless tech on planet earth. I never hunt sugar sand. It's what works best in minerals digging live targets. Ping. Old silver. Greatest sound I ever heard next to the harmonic train whistle of the Nautilus DMC.

Yep them Nauty's have a sweet ass deep tone too.
Love that soft modulated disc. only round sound you get on deep coins with the IIB,IIBa.

Ya just can't hide money

George did you check out the Golden Mask 5+ SE Platinum ? I like the selectable 15 kHz or 30 kHz option. 30 kHz would probably do pretty well at some of my mineralized sites on relics, but would it do as good as the EQ800 with 40 kHz?

Been tempted to pick one of these up, very reasonably priced and they have a good following.

I had a 5 I believe it was 8,18kHz. The meter spikes over targets and really smears the iron signal. It could also tell you deep targets with a small spike. It was fun but I like their non-meter versions.

Ole George want to feel a bit younger again going back to the hotties of yesteryear. Which can still get things done in a more relaxing way.....................

Nice choice. Years ago I bought a Tarpon 120 with upgrades. Bass fishing in a Kayak is a lot of fun. You can get back in the shallows and into the lilies and hydrilla. I'm liking your buy better. The Ghost is 6" longer and 3" wider, holds more weight and weighs less than the Tarpon....again good choice.
