Too bad, it worked well enough, The problem is that free only works if you pay by li=ooking at ads. Not enough ads - not enough clicks and the bills don’t get paid.

Well its owned by Photobucket once a great site for hosting pictures that can be used on many websites etc. And it was free. After a lot of years hooking millions of members, it decided to charge and overall quality of service went down but, that's another story.
So Tinypic was just another way of getting new subscribers for Photobucket.
