SOS - Unable to pair Multi Kruzer headphones

I am on a detecting road trip with the Multi Kruzer and the Equinox to test some new coils at some old hard to get to sites.

For the life of me I cannot get the headphones to pair with the detector. Actually I can’t get either set of two headphones to pair. It’s hard to keep up with all of their wireless headphones, but these are the ones that originally came with the Multi Kruzer (or Racer 2 and dongle package). I’m on a road trip with my Multi Kruzer and Equinox to some spots to test out the 7 inch concentric coil on the Multi Kruzer and the 15 inch coil on the Equinox.

I’ve tried everything to get the headphones to pair, including factory resetting the Multi Kruzer. I believe you’re supposed to press the button on the side of the headphones until it’s done beeping (mine beeps three times) and the hold the Settings button down while powering on the MMK until it says HP on the screen and true WiFi icon starts blinking, supposedly indicating it’s ready to pair. Absolutely nothing happens. I’ve even tried setting and saving each channel to see if it would connect, but even after saving the channel once you initiate the pairing it seems to change to channel 4, but never connects with the headphones. Keith, TNSS, Monte, anyone have any idea what I’m doing wrong?

I’d hate not to get to use my Multi Kruzer on the road trip because their pairing doesn’t wort

That’s what I followed, but to no avail,

Is it safe to assume that the pairing process is the same no matter which Makro wireless headphones?

They used to work fine, no idea why the became unpaired in the first place

I don’t think the racer phones will work with the MK

DeepTech Vista X with 3 search coils.
Works for me

It’s the headphones they sent with the Multi Kruzer (test machine). They were working fine in the past, I’ll play around with it some more.

That’s what I was thinking, but both sets were charged before I left. Just to make sure, while I spent three hours with the Equinox, I charged one set again. Using an iPad charger, same as I always have.

Ouch. If a tech 'puter issue befuddles genius Cal Cobra, then it must be a serious oddity. Sheesk, we sure hope you get that resolved. So that your massive long drive is not in vain ! Can't you switch to standard chord phones, if all else fails ?

Yes if I’d brought both the corded headphone adapter as well as the corded headphones

I guess this is going to be an Equinox only trip, cannot believe the Multi Kruzer let me down

I’ve tried everything I can think of (including reading the factory instructions, unless there’s something different with the tester headphones?), detector is fully charged as are the headphones. The headphones worked fine the last time I used the Multi Kruzer. I’ll try one more time in the field, maybe there’s some oddball interference in my room?

Ouch. Well it's a good thing you got a working nox 800. Good thing you had 2 machines. Good luck. Just promise me you won't find any gold coins, or I'd have to kill you ! haha

there is a nasty rumor afloat that cal-cobra has found a pocket -spill of seated coins. So... far be it for him to complain now about lack-of-equipment, haha.

Actually, I will only allow him to claim a "single find" . Since ... these will evidence having been from a single source. So., since it's a single find: Don't let your head get so big that you can't fit through the door Cobra-boy ! And ..... for a mere $100, I can be persuaded to keep-quiet about where you're at.

Brian, I hope you get it figured out. I tried to pair my Racer 2 phones with my MMK and couldn't get that to work so I have to make sure I have the Blue phones with the MMK.
PS. Anfibio on the way to me.

Did you run through all the freqs?

All 19 of them

I followed the instructions on the Nokta site for the blue or green headphones (same procedure), and nothing. Fast blinking blue LED on the headphones and the blinking WiFi icon on the MMK.

BTW these are the headphones that came with the MMK, and they worked all year until this road-trip.

I sent Dilek an email and will await her instructions. Unfortunately the MMK stayed in the car all weekend on my road-trip, but, as Tom alluded to, I made an epic find with the EQ800
