A bunch of nice old machines just went up...

For sale on FeeBay, just incase anyones looking...

Apparently a elderly gentleman is getting out of the hobby and hes selling some rare old machines.

He has a CZ-5, 1266x, Bandido uMax, INCA and a CZ-70.

All are in excellent, hardly used condition.

Just listed um and all but one have multiple bids.

Yes I saw the 1266x and it's one of the cleanest ones I ever saw.

Wouldn't some of those old machines need CAP replacements?
I collect old computers and have to change out the old capacitors all the time.

I suppose some might need new caps. but nothing like computers would as they are subject to alot more heat.

Man they are going pretty cheap as of less than 24 hours to go. Thought that clean 1266x would be higher by now?

Those machines are way too nice, a lot of bidders, you’ll see $$$

That little Bandido is almost up to $400!

The Bandido II Umax went for $453! Clearly that's one model that's holding its value.

And the Fisher 1266x went for 355.00.
Not bad for 'Old tech'.

I think the overall condition of those units helped them a lot in what they went for in the end. You can do an advanced search on eBay and see what the last several similar units have sold for, and none of them have brought that much money in a long time. The last several 1266s sold for around $170 to $250, and some of those even had extras. Same with the Bandido II uMax's. Never under estimate the potential of bid wars though. I got into a bid war over a Civil War bottle earlier this week; just because I knew where it came from and wanted it because of that. The other person must want it pretty bad too but I'm bound and determined to get it, whether I have to over pay for it or not. Haha.

Very true, Daniel.

I was shocked to see that Bandito sell for so much. But there were two people who really wanted it and bid it up back and forth instead of just waiting until the last few seconds and entering the highest amount they were willing to pay. The psychology of two bidders wanting to "win" in a bidding war is a seller's dream scenario.

Even after fees, the seller wound up with almost $400 for that Bandito. He never would have gotten that listing on the forums, and no doubt would have gotten some bitching about him being crazy and/or greedy.

There has been a lot of positive things stated about Tesoro’s lately on this forum, especially the Bandido...especially by some very knowledgeable/influential people.

Yes and like I said that Fisher 1266x was one of the cleanest I ever saw without being NOS. Some people just want to say they owned a Legendary detector like the 1266x. Even in bad shape they bring respectable Money if still working as they should.
I wonder can Fisher still repair them? I think they ran out of the battery case/stands?

I will say this those detectors are very clean, for a detector like that I would pay a little more. Got to love the M-Scope
