Goodby print edition of Western and Eastern magazine
January 31, 2019 11:08PM
Received my March issue of Western & Eastern Treasures in the mail today. Retiring editor Rosemary Anderson said this will be the last print edition-only digital going forward. Of course going to the digital format was made to sound like the second coming of Christ. I smelled a rat a couple of issues ago when Mark Parker vacated his monthly column and last month's issues type was adjusted to fill the magazine. All my print news mags except for time are now gone and Sports Illustrated has gone to bi-monthly. When I retired, the wife said I had too many subs and had to cut back--not now. Say! You don't suppose the wife is behind all of this?

Ugh -- I'm really sorry to hear that, especially since I recently did a two-year renewal of the print edition. I recall the digital subscription being cheaper, so hopefully they'll credit us print subscribers with a few extra (digital) issues.

It won't be the same, though.

The digital sub was free for a while, sad that the paper edition is going away. I always look forward to getting it, and even though some issues are better than others, I seriously doubt I'll be reading the digital edition in place of the paper edition, especially considering the paper edition was part of my morning routine if you know what I mean eye popping smiley
