Man those Wilson's are rare birds. The ATD is mega rare. I had a RC II and it was deep for the time it was made.

George,
If you can't find one, they're really easy to make (a piece of aluminum and a short piece of weatherstripping foam), BUT....

...that fastener is a bear to find.

It's called a NYLATCH mini-grip, two-piece panel fastener, and I believe it's made by a company called SOUTHCO.

I've had to replace them before.
They were used on several metal detector battery doors in the '80's, and could be found anywhere...back then.
Now, it seems, they've fallen out of general use.

I found mine on EB.
(If you like, I could go through my records for the actual part/model numbers.)

Good luck,
mike

I believe it was 1987 when I ran into Ben Meyers in Centreville Va. They were clearing an area loaded with union and confederate relics. Ben was field testing this model and he did very well. It was an all metal, vlf disc. and tr. disc model. I believe it was blue or the coil was blue. This is the only Wilson I have never used.
