Dilek’s enthusiasm is enormous! It’s funny also - When she first appeared on the scene, I either read or figured out that she had lived and worked in the US before she took the job at Makro back in Istanbul. I got curious and poked around and found that she had worked for a US company in New Jersey. Well to get to the point ....Her excellent English has a definite Turkish accent - but the other accent is pure New Jersey!

Interesting low priced detector for sure.

I was expecting her to say the retail price was $599.00. But at $299 they should sell a million of them. That would be perfect for fresh water beache, tot lots, sand courts and river hunts for me. I'll just need a small coil for the river.

I'm not a detector dealer by any means but I have already sold 2 of the Simplex units and it isn't even on the market yet. I sent the picture that was posted of it to a couple of my buddies that don't follow the forum and told them what I had read about it....both said they would be buying one. For $299 retail, you can't beat that for a waterproof machine. I may even get one myself for just freshwater beach hunting. Those type places, when hunting for freshly lost stuff, it's not going to be deep. All a person needs is a waterproof machine to get to the stuff before someone else does.

Waterproof for $299 why would you buy an AT Pro or AT Max or one of the cheap "water resistant" Fishers?

Looks like it has the same 11" DD round coil as the Anfibio (good), wireless, brought back the LED flashlight (can be useful!), 12kHz operating frequency, pretty decent. I bet that it's based on the Racer2, seems to have the same modes and the R2 is a killer detector, a waterproof R2 for $299, love it!

Next year I expect we'll see their SMF detector, which Dilek said will share the same housing as the Simplex, looks like it's built like a tank, lightweight, and I like how much it collapses down, perfect for a backpack! Well done team Nokta thumbs down

On a non-related note, that tool over at md-hunter is just copying everything that's posted here on his website, and apparently isn't smart enough to know that when a question was raised on the Simplex thread about their new SMF detector that it was a different machine and just blindly posted it on his copy and past Simplex thread - LMAO hot smiley

She also mentioned that it has a beach mode for salt water hunting... if that works even semi-well, this is truly going to be a killer machine.

Sounds good weight wise and price wise.

So now we need Calabash to compare to At series and see what’s up.

I may have missed. Was there any mention of smaller coils available for Simplex??

I remember a podcast interview she did where she mentioned
that all their new machines would share coils and connectors.
I believe she meant the Kruzer connector as it is already
shared with Anfibio. If the Simplex will share my Kruzer coils
I will definitely get one to leave in the truck!

Do they have any notch adjustments or are they set for each program?

You can barely buy a good used "beater" machine at this price!

The Simplex could propel Makro the same as the Ace 250 did Garrett?

Garrett should be very strong right now. Whites is most likely on their way out? That's just my thoughts.

Of the US companies Garrett is best off IMO.

Nokta has added an additional (the best) USA distributor and repair center. They are all in.

Nokta just laid the smack down with that price! I will be running one against the Garrett detectors just as soon as I can buy one...…..2.9 lbs that is going in the right direction!

I used to feel bad for American detector companies, but they allowed this to happen to them selves. No new designs, put a different sticker on the same unit or change the color doesn't work anymore. Their reign on this hobby IMO is over ! Sad !!

Might be premature to fill in the grave. Competition may be what the doctor forgot to order. I think it can be a good thing!

Only negative I see so far is the grip angle is still wrong but may not matter much due to the weight but will definitely make it feel more nose heavy than needed I suspect. It's not in production yet so that might change.
