I wonder what detector they plan to unveil? A Nox 1000??? Or even better a Etrac light weight machine with the flutey like audio and great iron disc with lightning speed like the Nox? One can only dream!

If you use a slower recovery speed and 50 tone on the 800 it’s sounds start to get familiar to those of other FBS,but it needs the Variability control to stretch it even further. I think some forget that the EQ actually HAS 50 tones...5 tones is so prevalant.

If ML came out with an update for the CTX that would allow different volumes in the Combined bins,I’d like that...been mentioned many times and why the EQ has it. But if they slapped dual coordinates, variability and a clock on the EQ...shoot,Id sell my brand new one and buy the updated version, and I haven’t even hardly used my 800 yet...

Maybe they'll unveil a new coil for the Equinox eye rolling smiley

I was hoping Nokta was going to be the sponsor and unveil their new SMF detector hot smiley

Could be the unveiling of the new GPZ 10000 model. Lol
Wonder if any sky divers will be in the area ?
Hope not.
Would hate to see Dilek have to crawl back in that hole again.

It's time ML introduced another gold machine. The GPZ is over two years old now. Admittedly, Detectival would be a strange venue to introduce a dedicated nugget machine. So, probably not that. A waterproof GPZ with a disc circuit would change everything though!

Probably, the next gen Nox.

I kind of doubt the next gen Nox (not that I would mind though!), that would be the two year mark (more or less) and let's be honest, Minelab makes good detectors, but their not very agile in releasing them. I haven't really followed the Explorer/Etrac/CTX releases, but at what intervals were those detectors released?

Minelab does not need to release another Equinox version. The current one is still very strong in sales. If they make it like prior FBS machines they would be killing it.

Good point. I'm still of the belief that the 600 & 800 are entry level machines in a line of machines yet to be introduced. Perhaps, they are going to capitalize on the strength of the Nox sales ( keep the ball rolling) and introduce the next in line? What do you mean by " make it like prior FBS machines"? Personally, I would like to see the FE-CO ID brought forward from the other FBS machines.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see a lighter, updatable fbs type detector. It also wouldn’t surprise me to see Etrac and CTX discontinued shortly thereafter if such an fbs detector released.
They could be up making models (a couple) too with one cheaper than the other like they dId with 600 and Equinox 800 models.

I am sure they are studying market hard and looking at their Etrac and CTX sales numbers worldlwide.

So how does then tech inside Eqx perform on higher conductive coins if the freqs used in weighting are skewed lower.

So they may already have such detector(s) in their hip pocket. Just waiting and watching for WHEN to unveil and launch.

Sure you can.

Prob only be a profind 55 that connects wirelessly to the headphones. Just can't see them releasing another machine already.

I kind of figure it'll be some kind of accessories, and if they were smart, they'd work with the Equinox, I'm sure that it's blown away sales of any machines they've ever produced.

If they made the Profind operate as a wireless inline probe when connected to the Equinox that would be awesome, but it'll likely just connect to the headphones and beep like all the other stand-alone probes.

I want a nine inch coil for the equinox.!
Re: Minelab will be Title Sponsor at Detectival 2019

A 5x10 nox coil and a pinpointer that works through detector like the sunrays did.. then there would be less need for other detectors for me..

+1

I'll be hoping for something more than a pinpointer and coil but wouldn't mind either one as a bonus pack. The 9 inch round would be a hit for sure.

Bruce Candy and company are never sitting on their hands and I think it's probably time for a new flag ship coin/relic machine. They've already had several recent releases in the gold machine line up...the GPZ, SDC, and Gold Monster have all been recent releases for the gold market. I think you guys are correct that the Equinox was just the start of something. If you remember when they first introduced the X-Terra series, there were only two at first...the XTerra 30 and 50. The 70 came later and kinda upset a lot of folks that were blindsided by it and had just purchased new Xterra 50s. Just my thoughts and hopes. I kinda thought something might be headed this way from them due to their product people have been quiet lately.

Thats a pipe dream. E-Trac is a dead unit and Minelab has moved beyond it by 2 models now. They won't put any more money into re-designed a detector that is closer to the discontinued line than the new-release line.

LOL, it would be funny as hell if somebody sky-dived in with a detector at the opening, just for laughs.

WOuld get folks attention and gets folks looking up wouldn’t it.
I am sure creative minds are at work inside Minelab.
Maybe a drone will bring something.
Like a coil or something.

One thing we need in the USA is a more centralized locale to the overall population for shot shows and venues similar to Detectival. Las Vegas don’t cut it. Sorry.

Kind of ironic that more likely then not, more detectors are sold in the U.S. then any other country, and we have nothing like Detectival.

There used to be a great club hunt in Laughlin, NV, but it's long gone. Not sure where a good "central" location would be that could accommodate a large show AND group hunt in the U.S., but it could be done with some effort.
