Will I have to replace my Makro Kruzer blue wireless headphones with the green wireless headphones to be able to use the new Nokta PulseDive pinpointer?
I complained about the headphone color game quite a long time ago.
Good question.
In this video Dilek mentions pulse dive pointer works with GREEN headlhones.
No mention of blue ones.

Whats there to complain about for goodness sake?

What was their response to your complaint if you don't mind me asking?

Why not allow third party standard low latency headphones? Why are manufacturers still pushing their own must use headphones and pinpointers when it comes to connectibility. More importantly why are we as customers not calling BS on it? Another thing Minelab did right with the Equinox. Garrett and their z thing or what ever it is called? Color coded headphones from Nokta? Yeah BS.
Thanks for your reply_I did not know that_

What was Nokta ? Makro response to your concern?

They are very good at sorting out issues and implementing feedback
so I am sure they would have responded to your concerns_

I do not think it is BS that one company uses THEIR headphones for THEIR
products_at least they can not be accused of copying others of which is
frowned upon_

Do the green ones work with the other detectors?

I also noticed that "green" wording from Dilek in the video. I only have the blue wireless headphones with my Kruzer.

Sure hope we can use the "blue" headphones, otherwise everyone with the blue headphones would have to buy "green" headphones in order to use the new PulseDiver. That's just not an option for me unless Nokta is willing to do a free blue for green headphone swap.
Pretty sure you will have to get “green” anfibio phones for the pinpointer.
It’s bizarre because the green ones will work with Anfib and Kruzer
But the blue ones from the Kruzer won’t work with the Anfib????
Not sure what they are changing but it is kind of frustrating.
Kruzer is great machine but it’s worthless without the headphones
as the speaker volume is so low and tinny sounding.

I got a set of blue ones with my Anfibio mulit Test unit. They work with Anfibio. Now I can’t say if Nokta monkeyed with the insides of these or not. They could be blue with green headphone inner workings.

That’s good to know!
I was led to believe they wouldn’t work with Anfib.
Guess we’ll have to wait for some official intel about the PPer headphone compatibility.
I’ll wait for some feedback before I jump on the new PPer.
To be honest, from the video it looks pretty cumbersome and clunky compared
to the good old GarretAT or the previous MakNok offering.
Nokta should consider making the headphone firmware upgradable to work on the Racer 2, Impact, Multi Kruzer and Anfibio as well as their new pin-pointer. That would likely fix things up for most, no idea why the need for so many different types of headphones confused smiley
Nokta.....Headphones......we're running out of colors. Just make a software update. Even if cost us consumers a small amount. Headphones cost $129.00 or more. Some models we can update via computer/data cable....this should be Standard on all new models. Shipping machines back and forth to Service Center, for just a software update, wastes time and money. Thanks Nokta for listening/considering.
