Pricing I would suspect would be competitive to other similar detectors in that particular performance range.
If all the other Deeptechs are any indication of known performance. The Vista X should be similar..
A non metered screen machine is not for everyone. If your used to a push button screen target ID machine, you
may not be interested in a beep and dig knob and switch machine. There are lots of guys besides those on this forum that
don't visit post on forums that just love beep and digs. That would appreciate a modern beep and dig and the features it would have to offer.
The Vista X is giving them a choice to keep using what they like.
I seem to find a bigger variety of treasures when I use a beeper than a metered screen machine so, I am totally at home using a beeper, many times prefer one over the screener.
The Vista X is just another option, bread and butter machine for many.
In due time, there will be answers to everyone's questions regarding performance..........................right now as with any other new detector launch, there's lots of speculation, yearning and whatever.
Keep an open mind, maybe the Vista X will fit into your arsenal and maybe it won't. For others it will.

I didn’t say a person couldn’t find round lead with Deus. It just don’t fancy. Slip EQX in behind a site where you think you cleaned out the round lead with Deus and watch what happens.
Been there and done that. Deus tried to give very close to iron tones sweeping. Murmur tone actually.

I didn’t say a person couldn’t find round lead with Deus.

Contrary to popular belief, Deus DOESN’T like round. Deus like round but disc shaped targets. If gold were shape of pearls or coins were the shape of pearls, or round balls, Deus the way it is currently programmed would have been a big FLOP.

Yep , your right. You did leave lead out of your statement.
Hey El,,, don’t throw the musket balls back,,, you gotta get rid of the deus cuz there must be something wrong with yours since you’re finding them!!

That is one nice looking detector compared to the old DeepTechs. I really like that coil shape.

When is the X going to be available to purchase? When are some trusted testers going to be able to get their hands on some X detectors so they can post their test results? And when are they going to cough up how much they would like to get for the X?

DeepTech Told me it was the stock coil for the X and offers better Target Separation and Depth over the other stock size coils in the lineup of Vistas. If its better than the Bulldog which is extraordinary what it can do in even heavy iron being 11 Inch then it should be a good UN!

But yes it does have a good eye appeal and sort of sets it apart from other units.

Over all the whole machine has a good eye appeal. And gives it a Savoir-Faire as the French say.

LOL Des!!

I've been reading a Jeb Stuart biography..It mention's his style and dash quite often with that phrase..With his plumed hat and cape!!!He was quite the romanticized cavalier with his flamboyant persona.Himself often speaking in French expressions on the battlefield.Telling his men to be Qui vive!

LOL, Tex. I'm used to the beatings.... I'm married.
Yes, that is one of the reasons why the company died. I live in Tesoro's home town and heard much of the scuttlebutt. The other reason is because Tesoro just refused to advance their tech. I know a few well known members of the detecting community that tried to suggest, cajole, and push them in to the digital world and they wouldn't budge. If a company doesn't evolve it dies. Of course, as you said, these decisions not to advance may have been made by the family. Unfortunate no matter how you slice it.

I'm afraid that we are going to lose a couple more American detector companies soon as well if they don't get their act together.

Take care my friend.

Is Deep Tech Vista headed to the digital world?? Is it possible to advance and keep refining an analog platform?? Is there enough Tesoroians to keep an analog company afloat?

I think they wanted to end like they started- no bells and whistles. Reading Jack’s bio I get this idea. I could be wrong.

I get a kick outta how some newbs call us 'Nostalgic old timers' because We like analogs. They think We are all broke down guys using canes. I think they would be shocked at how good a shape must of us are in. From what I have seen in some of there vids better shape than most them. I am in my fiddys and can still bench almost 4 plates.
Not to bad for a broke down old man. Ha!

Naw Harold, I pictured you as one of those oldies who was using a full carbon fiber wheelchair out detecting. Lol

Trust me, Harold...I'm no newb. Never made a vid.
What I was referring to is more of a state of mind than a person's physical state.
I was seriously questioning the target market for this machine. I think Rick did a great job in his post of summing up what the current market trend is for a modern day detector.

Metal detector development is now mostly software dependent. There are still things to be done in coil design - that’s hardware, but the hardware in the control box is mostly just there for “housekeeping” these days and the real work is software. Digital signal processing on the input side with algorithms to analyze the return signal and on the output side to drive the user interface is all sophisticated programming. The funny thing is that the only folks who can do it well are those very few with a good grasp of what the detector has to do in order to do the “job” that the user has “hired” it for. Not too many of those folks in the world - maybe enough to fill an ordinary bus.

The watershed between single frequency (at a time) and simultaneous multifrequency seems to be a significant hurdle for some makers. Neither XP nor NOKTA/Makro have made the leap and Fisher has yet to produce a successor to the CZ series. Whites did the V3, but the software folks who did it are long gone I’m told.

It is exactly in the area of advanced signal generation and processing - probably in both the frequency and time domains where we can expect eventual breakthroughs. Perhaps even advances shape vs. mass recognition to help with pesky stuff like steel bottle caps, maybe even the dreaded pull-tab.

Vista offers a simple and competative machine...great unmasker. Vista also offers long term dependability and economy. Some digital machines (or pinpointers) use rechargeable batteries, which have to be serviced (ever so many years) for the life of the machine......at a cost. Hopefully wont come to the point where the batteries are totally sealed and end up with a disposable metal detector. No matter how old you are.....the Vista's value is there. The broader range Discrimination will widen the Vista market. Add a concentric coil and it will more-so widen. Keep moving forward or one will be bored.

How much ya will'in to pay? Think DT is deciding

DeepTech Vista X with 3 search coils.
Works for me
Some wont like it simply because it has no meter

others no notching or multi tones etc..

But if your a analog type and know everything ID lies anyways from co-location skewing or soils or depth or all of the above and hunt by instinct and feel of tonal qualities etc then you may find it fun to use.

The newer guys may not find much use for it and or dont want to try to find a use for it.

As far as cost ??I doubt but dont know it will be much more or the same ballpark as the DTVGG.

I could see the new battery box start showing up on all the current units too Id bet but again dont know.
