The CZ-3D is the only detector on the market that'll ID this coin as a "high-tone" (coin-tone)..............and....not a pull-tab.

I found a flying eagle and to this day it is the best coin I have. Your find is one I don't have and I don't have a gold coin but that is what keeps us going...Great find.

I have also only found one of those 3 cent pieces. I read they made them for ease of buying a 3 cent postage stamp, if memory serves me.

Yes.............and the $3 Gold coin was specifically for purchasing 100 stamps. (It did not catch on......as the public did not like this denomination).
