Found something kind of scarry in a local park yesterday.

I think it is a lightning rod. Any ideas?

Its a ground rod it seems.Could be for lighting with point up or maybe drive in ground for grounding.

doing a quick search company is in business still ..We have dozens and dozens at work on top of the building like that all connected together and ran to the ground.
