Gold rings #55 and #56 FTY, trying to stay below the radar on posting much any where.
These spots are found after several hours of research and re-conning, ( in the water time).

Before and after cleanings, one of the first 18k's I've ever found that had stains, 10k stained can be normal after many years.

Can only imagine the tears lost when they realized they lost these, over a 100 years ago.

The Cameo is a Ostby Barton, Who was a legend in the jewelry trade. He emigrated from Oslo, Norway to the US in 1869. After forming his own company with his partner, Nathan Barton in 1879, they became well known for their high quality and beautifully made jewelry. Mr. Ostby later perished when the Titanic sunk in 1912.

Impressive OBN,

There's an added cool factor of tying your research and finds together with the dates. When I experience that, it always gives me that moment of stepping back in time wondering how an item came to be where it was found.

Thanks for the post.

Many Thanks to everyone for the kind words!

Rich - I could not agree more, I have hundreds of old photos of the spots I hunt , these really give me a feeling of what it was like and a possibility the last few minutes of the gold ring in there possession.
