Announcing a pre-order with no details on pre-order, ordering, availability given to dealers kind of puts us in a bind answering questions of customers. I don't take money from customers on a promise. Need facts/details. Perhaps the distro's have the info and just haven't informed us?

I’m confused with the “wireless ready”. Will I be able to use my own wireless head phones at the 299$ price point or will I need to opt for the 399$ to have wireless capabilities?

At the $299 price the Simplex has the wireless headphone module built inside but does not come with a wireless headphone, you need to use your wired headphones.
For $399 the Simplex includes the wireless headphones.

It plainly states that it uses the GREEN EDITION wireless phones.. They come with all new detectors from Nokta..
Too bad not the older BLUE model. OR will the Blue Edition phones also work ?????????

From my distributor - We have placed one of the very first world-wide orders with the factory! We will be shipping dealer orders in the order in which pre-orders are placed with us.

I don't know at this time when my distributor will have them available, my guess will be soon.

Probably smoke the ATP/ATM @ half the price and it looks like it's built like a tank with a more modern design. I don't really need one, but might be nice to have one to leave in the car. Looks like it share the same coil as the Anfibio too which seems to be a really well designed coil.

Charles Garrett lives, the Minelab Vanquish dude is back, several "popular" detectors got dissed, even the IQ was challenged

Funny thing (or sad depending on your point of view) it really appears that the detector wars have come down to Nokta and Minelab, which is a bit like watching David and Goliath, and we all know who won that battle at the end of the day.

I wish it had more than 3 audio tones but still a decent rig.
I wish the NOX had the light up pads.

Will there be waterproof headphones available for it at the time of the release or will those only come later? Or will the waterproof headphones for the Kruzer/Anfibio work on it?

I personally don't like the wireless stuff and would rather have the waterproof headphones since its most applicable use for me would be in the water. It would be awesome if we didn't even need waterproof headphones unless we wanted to hear the audio...just utilize the vibration mode.

also, the MAP on these are $254.15 and $339.15

Ship from Turkey late August. Starts to be in the hands of customers in US early September would be my guess.

One of the many things I really like about my Gold Kruzer is that external battery pack. It was the first accessory I bought. It changed the Gold Kruzer from a "planned hunt" detector to a "grab and go" detector.

I didn't see that battery pack in the accessory list for the Simplex?

No, not "all that". I don't know if the unit is or is not submersible without the headphones. If it is, and the vibration mode is functional underwater, then that would be a good alternative to audio and waterproof headphones. I don't need or like the wireless stuff so having that as an option at a lower price point is a plus.

I have one on order for you, thank you.

Despite what Monte advised elsewhere, I'm not giving it a chance: an 11" coil on such a detector is 'overkill' - it may be be a far better and easier-to-use detector fitted with a 'Kruzer' type 7" concentric coil.

I'm not buying one until smaller coils are available (preferably any shape 7" coil and any color too!)

It was a great business decision for the manufacturer to supply an 11" coil as I'm sure they will then sell "tons" of smaller coils as people may not be able to run things smoothly on 'high density target' sites using the higher end of the SENS scale?
Things might have to be 'toned down' for stable operation?
It might be possible on beaches - dry sand to semi-wet to unleash the standard coil, but mightn't be so easy on the myriad of other 'grass/turf/rocky/dense wet grassed sites we like to search?

(all pure conjecture of course)

I would rather toss in a few more pesos and get a used 600 that we know can hunt with the big dogs. But that is my opinion.

This entry level stuff never makes me want to try one. Now that true multi frequency unit they were name searching for about a year ago has my interest.

Clearly the Simplex isn't for everyone, it's not meant to compete with an Impact, Multi Kruzer, Anfibio nor Equinox, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that it'll run with an ATP/ATP/MXS and if it's based on an R2, heck it'll run just fine with (gasp) the F75....now granted those units are all old, but the Simplex is selling for $250, so what do you want for two fiddy?

Save your pesos for the Nokta SMF when it comes out, that should be quite the show down, I just hope the fine folks at Nokta can pull it off, competition is great (for us) and the battle we've been watching between Nokta and Minelab has been quite the modern day David and Goliath story
