I'm trying to decide if I want one of these or a 5" coil. I have the 11" Pro coil and the minelab 8" coil. Size wise I think this size is too close to the 8" to see much difference on an Etrac when sucking gold out of turf spots.

What do you think?

I would think this would get into some tighter spots, or heavier trash, than the 8" will. Being elliptical, it may give you a little more coverage than the round 5". Don't think you would go wrong with either one...

I think I'll run the 8" round ( I guess its 7.5" actual) and then see if I need to go one more size smaller before I bring in the Gold Kruzer for final cleanup.

the little 4.5x7 is an excellent coil for sifting and deep little sucker for it's size too. That's a great deal for a like new one and lower rod too - you wouldn't be disappointed!
